Oh ok, because YOU think it's 'still about right' despite being 2 years old, then it must be just that. Here's a little something from the article: 'The average Old Trafford attendance of 75,304 last season sees them replace Real Madrid, last year's winners' See? The positions are subject to change, so what makes you think they haven't changed again?
So we have established that the CL is harder to win than the EC and that Man Utd are the best supported team in England, Europe and the World.
And thats according to Man United fans who still claim football was invented by Sky and 1969-1992 never existed.
Theres only you claiming this. Saying that you have absolutely no idea about the history of football and no doubt believe it had a short life between 1970-1990.
And what size stadium do the din dippers have? Makes little odds, Newcastle are a bigger club than Liverpool. Can you imagine that a club with little in the way of honours, sell more seats than a team thats won only 18 League titles, and 5 CL titles. O dear
Everyone being 2 United fans. As I've said before (and it's a point you've completely ignored numerous times) European competition is completely subjective. It's not just 'harder' or 'easier' now across the board. For Liverpool it's harder, because our team isn't as good as it used to be. For Barcelona it's easier because their team is better than it used to be. If you're the best team in the competition, you stand a good chance of winning it, regardless of how many other teams are in it and what league they are from.
Rather embarrassing isn't it. In terms of actual fans though i think they have a lot more than newcastle. Nowhere near as many as us mind.
At what point did I claim Liverpool were the best supported? That's not even the argument. Manchester United are better supported than Liverpool. There, see? That's not even up for debate. You, much like United19Red, simply respond to something that hasn't been said in order to make a renewed but generally unoriginal reply.
Imagine a world cup with only 1 team from each continent in it. imagine a european cup with only 1 team from each league in it. imagine a world cup with all the top teams in it imagine a champions leagye with all the top teams in it. thread/
And my point is proven straight away. Care to actually respond to post #309 United19Red, or just ignore it again? It isn't me trying to 'prove' you wrong, by the way. It's me suggesting that it can't simply be labelled 'easier' or 'harder'.
You seem to like making things up dont you. If it helps you cope with day to day life as a liverpool fan then fair play but I would see someone about it. Making things up can lead to bad things.
You responded to it trivially. I'm imagining all of those things. The best team would still win each. If you were in a Champs League group with Barcelona, Porto and Milan (all champions), would it be easier than a group with Villareal, Benfica and Napoli?
"dippers" When will the biggest and only "dippers" in the northwest stop deflecting their digusting trait. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/6933744.stm
You have done no such thing, the only thing you have come close to establishing is that barca found it easier to win now than we did then. PS still waiting for that year from you.
