Both home teams win 1-0. Standard AVB side. Full of destroyers with no creativity. Knock it wide to a left footed player who will cut in and score a 30 yard screamer. Only Andros Townsend is no Bale or Hulk. Wenger must love playing against AVB, high line worked a treat once again. In the first match I thought United were predictably poor. Don't have the same grit or determination they had under Fergie. Like on Monday, they never looked like scoring.
I'll give you mine. Moyes is completely out of his depth. Can't wait until the humiliations in Europe begin.
Have to agree with CPofl. Moyes looks out fo his depth. Why Shinji wasn't playing I don't know. He needs to sort it out or this could be a poor season for United
Welcome to the real world post Fergie, where you don't get all the decisions. And, OMG, decisions go against you away from home. How dare the ref give decisions against you
You have to admit United don't look near the side they were last year.... What's changed...oh yeah, mid table Moyes.
The same as always when United go to Anfield. Outnumbered in midfield against a side that press very well (especially at Anfield). I just couldn't believe Kagawa was omitted from the squad in favour of Nani and Young. I predicted a draw before the game but once I saw all three of Giggs, Young and Welbeck starting ahead of Kagawa, Hernandez and Rooney in those positions I knew Liverpool had the game won. Sorry to sound harsh but Liverpool were depleted and played 120 minutes midweek, they were tired 2nd half and there for the taking, for United to walk away from that game with nothing is inexcusable from Moyes especially as its unlikely Chelsea and City will succumb to defeat at Anfield later on this season. Moyes needs a result against City, the longer this poor record against big teams goes on the more it will hinder United. Bad day at the office but United will and need to bounce back. Never at any stage did I feel United would score against Liverpool or Chelsea which is something I never felt watching a Fergie side.
For Arsenal, I expected them to get something yesterday, either a tight 2-1 or a 1-1 draw, the real test of Arsenal is against the Manchester clubs and Chelsea, where they got only 2 points from 18 last year, similar this year and they forget about challenging. The main thing for Arsenal is squad depth in the midst of a seemingly brittle squad.
Not sure when Arsenal play the big teams but they'll feel as optimistic as ever going to Old Trafford, everyone else sure is.
The game against you lot Welbeck missed 2 sitters so your cant say we didn't look like scoring and Rvp missed a sitter yesterday so poor finishing was a reason not that we didn't create anything.
3 chances in 2 games is poor for a team with title aspirations and the current champs. To early to predict anything but this early season form, pre season and the transfer dealings, hardly a great start by Moyes.
So United did what they do best, bully a rival P.L club into selling their best player but fail to bring in top class talent from abroad. Different manager, same outcome.
