Good move for him, look what Owen Coyle did with Jack Wilshere, made him a better player and an England international, hopefully Powell gets game time there unlike Angelo Henriquez when he went there last season.
Henriquez was unlucky last season, he only went in the second half of the season and shortly after he arrived it became clear that Wigan were going to be involved in a relegation dog fight again. Cleverley wen't for a whole season so he'd become part of the first team picture before the relegation battle of his season ensued. Hopefully Powell can become a first team regular at Wigan too and come back more ready for a place in Uniteds first team too.
The thing was, before he went to them, Martinez was bigging him up, promising game time as well, but neither happened and it was a waste a time for him and us.
Bit torn on this move, even with Fellaini joining we're still a bit light in the midfield. So letting one of our cm's leave on loan doesn't seen like the smartest move. However, a season on loan to a club and manager with a proven track record of developing loaned talent, is probably the best thing for Powell.
Perhaps. Gutted Anderson is still employed at Utd. I'm upset my offer to pay for a one-way ticket to Brazil was not taken up by Moyes.
