Good business by United and Arsenal imo. Arsenal clearly needed someone like Ozil. They have paid a lot but got one hell of a player. United were clearly under par in MF without Scholes, in Fellaini they have acquired a player who could do a very good job. Smart move by Everton to gazzump the Lukaku deal, will go some way to calm the fans after losing their best player. Bale? Meh!
Think United have been utterly rinsed because they panicked. Why did they not go for him when they could have had him for £23m? That said, he's a very good footballer though I'm not sure he's the footballer they needed. Arsenal have signed a truly world class player. Fair play to them.
Arsenal are still short of a title challenge imo They still need a proper defensive mid. Fellaini's not great technically. His main attribute is his physicality. They probably could have done with a more rounded player imo but he'll do well enough Chelsea in line to win the league imo.
To come any where near Scholes they needed a player that puts himself about and isn't afraid to put his foot in when required to break up play. A player capable of making defence splitting passes. They also had to chip in with goals from midfield. Fellaini ticks all the boxes and can be a terror in the box at set plays.
Would be a good sigining if it does happen Buttner wouldn't be best impressed mind not gonna have any game time now unless he goes on loan to a lower league team
Sorry mate you said he wasn't good technically he clearly is, and his main attribute was his physicality, he can get physical but it isn't his main skill. One game I saw him watch a ball over his shoulder controlled it and swung around with the ball on his foot and passed the ball with his other foot. All whilst avoiding two players on him. That to me is very technically gifted.
I think if Arsenal bagged Fellaini when his clause was active and also signed Ozil they would be real contenders. Having said that if Giroud gets injured, they have **** all in attack bar Podlski who is out for 10 weeks.

Arsenal have captured the best player of the window and for almost a third Madrid got taken for Bale. Ozil is world class IMO and elevates arsenal in one signing to definite top 4. If they had been bold and got Ba on loan I'd have stuck some serious wedge on them to be champions this season. They really needed that one cutting edge at the very top to do so.
