    Hmm...
    He's 31 isn't he? I know that's not ancient for a keeper but seems to show a lack of ambition to play regularly. If he had any lingering hope that he'd be our first choice one day that will have been well and truly put to bed now.
    Top teams need decent back-up of course, but being permanently on the bench would drive me nuts.
    I'd sooner play for half the wages that waste my career watching others.

    I'm fine with Jones as backup. He hasn't been too bad when he's been called up. People act as if he leaks goals.

    Save the money we'd spend on a new keeper and build a new school for all of Sterlings children.
