In a local magazine over here there is a little "did you know" section with a few "factoids" of trivia. One of this month's says that the nickname of Dunfirmline FC, "The PARS" stands for Plymouth Argyle Relocated Supporters. Can any-one on here shed any light upon this?
If you can believe Wiki.......the main thought is that they used to wear vertical black & white stripes.......Pars ....short for parallel stripes. BUT also mentioned was .......That English workers who came to work at the armament depot at Crombie and at Rosyth Dockyard kept their association with their local team by forming the Plymouth Argyle (Rosyth) Supporters Club. So you take your choice and believe what you want........never heard that before.
I heard years ago that it was the Devonport Dock yarders who relocated up there and the rest is how Plymborn reported
