Can't see it lads. Interesting though that if Sess goes we'll have pretty much broke even on transfer fees. Was this the plan all along. Call me a pessimist but I think Short has January and a new manager at the back of his mind.
With all our out goings this summer, weve only spent somthing like 7m. If Sess goes we've nearly broke even so money should not be an issue!
I cannot see this happening for a second, but I am living in hope. A 23 yo coming to the peak of his career would be a really sensibly signing plus the stats speak for themselves. Its a no brainer as he could be sold on for a profit in a few years. But we are SAFC we never do anything sensible.
I told you I thought this was rubbish. We're all done for the year. http://www.rokerreport.com/2013/9/2/4687012/reports-sigurdsson-rumours-internet-nonsense "Reports: Sigurdsson Rumours "Internet Nonsense" By SimonWalsh  @SimoWalsh on Sep 2 2013, 7:59p + It appears that as we ourselves said not too long ago, that rumours of a move for Gylfi Sigurdsson are, according to Sky Tyne & Wear, "Internet nonsense" and there's indeed nothing in it. The news comes as they claim to have spoken to someone at the club who makes this claim, and it tallies well with what we've been saying on Twitter and on this site today that after Andrea Dossena and Fabio Borini, our work is done. It's a bit of a shame as Sigurdsson would have been a very decent signing to link the midfield and attack together, and will likely find himself surplus to requirements at Spurs having seen a raft of expensive rivals come in to take the spot he occupies for the Londoners."
Sigurdsson in the heart of our midfield would immediately change the dynamic of the team and give us a powerful and skillful football right at the heart of the club. He is a top class player IMO but sadly if he were on the move, I think there would be far bigger players chasing his signature than ourselves. Shame its only internet rumour but never really believed it to start with.
I did not think he would be coming, I hate to say it as I am normally very positive but I have just been looking at our fixtures and I think we will be bottom by the start of December. I just can't see us winning any of the home games and all the away games are going to be really hard as the weaker teams will still be believing they have a chance of staying up. If PDC can keep us out of the bottom 4 until Jan I think he will be a genius.
