Not really, the difference in the Europa League (as I stated a few posts above) is we had creativity in midfield for both legs - Sigurdsson in the first leg, Holtby and Carroll in the second.

How often have we failed to win against "****e" teams in the Premier League due to shooting directly at their goalkeeper for ninety minutes?

That's the key difference - in the Europa League, we had someone who could play the defence-splitting pass and that created chances that were duly dispatched. In the Premier League we haven't had Eriksen, Holtby or Carroll play and as a result we aren't splitting defences open, rather we're barging our way through which may lead to a chance, but not as clear cut as Soldado running on to a pass with only the keeper to beat.

That's exactly how I felt watching it, Croydon. It reminded me so much of those games against Wigan and Fulham at WHL, where we dominated possession but failed to create anything.
Should've brought on Holtby instead of Defoe, for me. Might've brought them both on if it wasn't for Capoue's unfortunate injury.

ETIENNE CAPOUE OUT FOR A MONTH

Away from the transfer market for a moment, Tottenham say midfielder Etienne Capoue will be out for a month after spraining his ankle in the 1-0 defeat at Arsenal on Sunday.

A Tottenham statement says: "Early indications suggest the France international will be unavailable for a period of four weeks."

Good-ish news about Capoue. A month is still relatively quite long but thank **** it's not a break/ ligament damage which could've ruled him out for the season.

    Get better soon Etienne <ok>

I'll be very pleased if Capoue returns to full fitness in only a month. Looked really bad at the time.

Just as long as it isn't like the four week period Kaboul was supposed to miss last season...

If that is the case, expect Capoue to be elevated to superstar status, as our injured players are more highly rated then when they where fit.

Dempsey could've been godly if he got injured - rather than play like he was...
