I would expect Derry to leave today. Agree I fail to see where Jenas and Faurlin feature in our squad if Chalobah and Carroll do sign. No point bringing them in if we aren't going to play them. They're both too good to sit on the bench. Playing alongside two experienced players like Barton and Henry will do them the world of good.

I agree with the formation thinking. Maybe HR is sticking with Austin, AJ and Bobby Z and playing 4-5-1. Phillips and Hoillet out wide.

We still desperately need a striker. AJ liable to get crocked and Bobby Z can't score for toffee.

Unless the plan is Hitchcock & Sharrif?

It's 3pm on transfer deadline day and we haven't signed or shifted anybody.

That Philip Beard has to go. All he ever does is sit on his arse all day. It's time he done some work.

We've shifted 21 out and got 6 in so far Finglas. Or does it only count if its on deadline day?

Reports are growing that we've been given the green light by Spurs to speak to Assou Ekotto about a loan move for the season

It is very hard to get any work done today!

Not sure why people are so keen on a LB, our captain plays there and is doing a very fine job. Traore decent backup, and Suk-Young not bad as backup either. Could even play Traore LW with Suk as backup LB.

Baird covers defensive positions nicely and from the sound of it we have a few young CMs coming in on loan.

Basically leaves us needing backup for AJ/Austin. I'm sure having one younger striker (Hitchcock) pushing for a place wouldn't be a bad thing, but it would be nice to have an experienced pro pushing for a place too. Not heard any names linked however.

Anything to do with Spurs will be concluded at the last minute because that's the way Levy works. Hope we are prepared to stare him out. The way Spurs sat on the Bale move for 2 weeks kept a cap on the market because Real could not afford to sell in case they couldn't get him, now the cascade down is in full flow.

The Assou-Ekotto and Carroll rumours are going wild...and from so called very reliable sources. Niko Kranjcar also being named. Haven't heard much on him lately so no idea what type of form he's in.
