Chalobah is a young central midfielder who is very quick, and technically gifted. Scored possibly the goal of the season last year against Leicester with a 25 yard thunderbolt. He scored 5 goals in 38 games last year. He's 18, has a full season in the Championship under his belt already and I'll be very surprised if he doesn't break into the first team at Chelsea within 3 years. Mourinho is known to be a big fan of his and watched him in the Play Off Final last season. He'd be an excellent signing.
Journo for the Telegraph, Sam Rhodes ‏@SamuelRhodes_ 6m Big Big news for QPR fans coming up.............. But seeing as Ian Taylor is currently commentating on the EDS game, I doubt we'll hear what it is for a while, officially.
No one seems to be keen on taking Ceasar off our hands......there must be a side out there that needs a decent shot stopper....
Sam Rhodes has just tweeted Okay #QPR fans. I am hearing 2 loan deals for Chalobah and Caroll, whilst the permanent signing of free agent Baird. McManaman also target.
If so that would be some good business, I assume that is the Wigan lad McManaman that he is referring to?
2 central midfielders, just what we need! Is that Calum or are we trying to bring Steve out of retirement?
Palace want him as Holloway had him on loan at Blackpool. Dave Whelan has already said there's no way he's leaving so that'll be a long shot. Chalobah is real quality, just signed a five year deal at the Scum and is a midfielder/defender, very versatile. A great signing if we can clinch it. Carroll has already stated he'd prefer to come to us to work with Harry again. All these would be excellent business...
Hahaha, Callum McManaman is the target. We'd have an England Under 21 CM partnership with Carroll and Chalobah who are both top draw. It means Jenas can be deemed surplus to requirements if Barton goes as well.
I can see Chalobah being used as a centre back. Especially as he is quick and we are severely lacking in pace at the back. Carroll would be class. Baird a solid signing. Hopefully we don't lose Barton, the bookies don't seem to think he's going either.
Not sure about that elnino.....we have Ned & Dunne who are looking rather good at the moment and Ned has at last found his natural position after a few years of being used as a full back. I think they compliment each other very well. Left back could be a weakness but Clint has done well recently and i can why Harold is using him in that position with the hoof ball played at times by the opposition.....
I agree them two are playing well, but I fail to see signing Chalobah and Carroll as CM's unless we truly are losing Barton and probably one more (Jenas)? How many centre mids do we currently have, must be quite well covered? or perhaps we'll be changing to 4-5-1?
