That's how you make statistics, you take a random selection of a group (I chose 100 to make it easier for you to understand), and determine how many fit into the criteria. Now if you were asking for the accurate maths, as I said go there yourself and do it, I gave a perfectly viable way of doing it by estimation.

As a university graduate you should know you shouldn't base your assumptions on just one source but should look at a greater cross section to give a more even and balanced argument. You're still not listening to what I'm saying... You are selecting those threads, they are not a random selection. If you knew anything about statistics then you'd know you can't choose the ones that suit you. Now if you take all the posts from all the posters, select 100 of those posters and assign them one of their posts, due to the amount of sad 'rep' posts there are and ****e posts, 95% would be accurate.

English Degree - not sure when you and your friends did yours but mine has moved on a long way from simply writing book reports (which is apparently what your friends did). As part of my degree I studied phonetics (the science of language) which explored forensic analysis of language and is used by police and armed forces to determine the authenticity of bomb-calls in Northern Ireland and also Bin Laden tapes etc. We also explored the ways forensic linguistic analysis can used to implement people in police investigations. Language acquisition in children, deducing what children learn and how they learn it, in turn looking into the reasons why people have speech defects and how they can overcome them. Within this we explored the anatomy of speech in which you learn every muscle and area of the mouth neccessary to form coherent speech. I studied the Power of language and linguistics in which we looked at the ways institutions use hegemonic power, created through linguistics in order to control and manipulate 'plebs' such as you and me. There is a vast variety of different things attributed to a degree in English, far more than 'just reading a book and writing about it' as I'm sure there's a variety of things you learned as part of your degree, however if I were to apply that logic to computing science you did what...worked out how to type a few codes into a database...? On a side note, what University did you go to? I saw you laughed at Leeds Uni, but as far as I'm aware they're in the top 20 in the UK! As for the 95% jibe. So of those 10 threads, there's one that has Gervinho as a subject...that means 90% DON'T!
