Listening to the prices being quoted, I'd be surprised if we do anything else than bring Gedo in on loan - I thought West Brom bringing in Anichebe and Sessegnon would be great business, but at £6million each? over-priced for deadline day.
according to Sky Sports we've spent about £12m so far.. if we can offload the likes of fryatt, prozzy, mclean etc.. i really think we'll have about £5m to buy 1 quality player.. trying to find a quote from the allams saying they'll be around £15m to spend on players this summer... sky sports and a few papers have it quoted but I clearly remember HDM having a direct quote, just cant find it. so there is money to spend still!
FourFourTweet ‏@FourFourTweet Hull are still interested in signing Nicklas Bendtner - they are competition for Crystal Palace.
Yes, they're normally very good(it's the Twitter feed for Four Four Two magazine). Interesting one... Philip Buckingham ‏@PJBuckingham #hcafc have a few attacking irons in the fire and told one could be Carlton Cole. Still a free agent following his release from West Ham.
OLM you probably have a semi with that rumour of Cole! Not sure who I'd have between Cole vs Bentdner.
Other than Cole having a poor time last season, both actually have very similar records, I'd be happy with either.
There's never been a set amount, that was just an example given by AA on what he thinks should be spent on squad improvements. It's in no way a definitive number. This season won't be defined by our dealings today; the signings we have now just have to get us to January in good shape.
By January we're almost half way through the fixture list. So it will largely be defined if can't score goals.
BBC Radio Humberside's David Burns on Twitter: "Just checked with Hull City and nothing happening in or out at moment. Get impression they're still keen on Arsenal's Nicklas Bendtner but he may be too pricey."
