Great loan signing for us. Speak to any spurs fan and they say he is a star of the future. More strength to our squad.

I'm more worried about out goings today. Need to keep Barton and hoillet.

I think AJ may go to palace.

 

I'd assume this would mean a midfielder is off... preferably Jenas though maybe just Derry permanently.

 

Barton to West Ham seems to be all over the place.

Gutted if AJ goes. We have him for a season injured, get him fit and looking sharp then might lose him.

 

I would be surprised if AJ goes. He is under contract and we are not exactly flush with strikers.

Ajax have agreed a deal with Lerin Duarte who will replace Christian Eriksen.

They were reportedly interested in a deal involving Tom Carroll going there on loan for the season as part of the Eriksen deal to Spurs.

Crystal Palace are signing Barry Bannan instead so they're ruled out.

This should pave the way for Carroll to sign for us for the rest of the season. Competition is from Watford.

 

He should sign for us if he has an England (is he English, I cant be arsed to check) app fee in his contract. Spurs sending us their youngsters is great for them.

Tom Carroll werd zaterdag nog in verband gebracht met een verhuur aan Ajax, maar de talentvolle middenvelder van Tottenham Hotspur gaat waarschijnlijk een seizoen spelen voor Queens Park Rangers. Dat meldt The Sunday People deze zondag.

Carroll zou door Spurs zijn aangeboden aan Ajax, nadat de Engelsen de beschikking kregen over Christian Eriksen. De Amsterdammers haalden zaterdagavond echter Lerin Duarte van Heracles Almelo en daarom leek het al de vraag of er nog sprake was van interesse in een huur van Carroll.

Volgens The Sunday People niet voldoende. QPR lijkt de gelukkige, mede omdat Carroll al samenwerkte bij Spurs met QPR-coach Harry Redknapp. Toch wordt ook een verhuur naar Ajax nog niet geheel uitgesloten. Zo was op Sky Sports te zien dat er melding werd gemaakt van een definitieve verhuur van Carroll aan Ajax. Twitteraars waren scherp en dat leverde deze foto op.

What's it worth? Nothing, of course, until the ink is dry on the contract. I think I might take a half day annual leave on 1.9.14 since I hope we will be in the market for serious signings again at that time!!

 

What position does he play?

 

As I understand it, he is a young, attacking midfield playmaker who is highly rated at Spurs.
