One thing that stood out for me today, we still really need to sign some muscle. They were running straight past our midfield quite easily in the first half, we needed to park the bus a bit to counter it..

I thought Flamini did really well today. He gave us that muscle and steel in the middle that we'd been missing for so long. I know he wasn't the marquee signing that everybody was calling for, but you can't deny that he looks like a really decent addition to the squad <ok>

Sadly, didn't see anything today, stayed outside the ground till 20 mins before kick off, two large groups of Spurs fans walked by, but nothing went down.

Should never have been booked for that. It was not dissimilar to the Lloris 'tackle' on Walcott.

Not that i particularly care but what is Souness' problem with Arsenal? It's the same with him every time we play

Site was down for me too. Great, solid performance. I thought our defence was magnificent today, looked like a collective unit rather than the headless chickens we saw at the start of last season. Koscielny stood out for me, hardly put a foot wrong. I don't think Giroud can be relied on as our sole experienced striker but he did a great job today with a deft finish. I have to disagree with crackerman jack, although spurs had more possession than us, I don't think anyone can say that it was a '50/50 game.' The truth is that after the goal, we had them right where we wanted them. The onus was on them to attack and we allowed them to come forward so that we could hurt them on the break. A Tottenham fan on the BBC thread summed it up for me. He said that if it wasn't for Lloris, it could have been 3 or 4 nil.

Hopefully some more good news tomorrow!

Giroud and Walcott were both excellent. Totally agreed when the commentators gave Giroud MOTM.

Ramsey, Rosicky, and Cazorla all defended well, but their through-balls sucked. If they'd given Giroud and Walcott better service, we could have won 2 or 3 nil.

Gibbs was poor in 1st half but recovered. Jenks was poor for first 5 minutes but recovered. Kos, Mert and Szcz all very solid.

Usually we come into games firing on all cylinders before losing our momentum and falling away. Today we approached the game tentatively and grew into it. A much better approach I think.

I thought Flamini was excellent today, the way he marshalled the team when we didn't have possession was very leaderlike, plus the old bulldog spirit is still there

Did Jack Wilshere go off to take a ****? it's funny only today on the way to the game I was thinking about what players do if they have a stomach ache and need to go, :-D.

Really proud of the team today. The commitment and intensity shown by the players to defend the lead was admirable. Boscielny was his usual self. Also impressed by Giroud's passion too.

Still not sure what Rosicky brings to our game though other than ambitious through balls that never work.

on Jack Wilshere…
He has a stomach bug, but nothing that will stop him from playing for England.

on if it's the same bug as Sagna had…
Yes. What has happened to us, happened to Tottenham a few years ago.
