well done on your win, game of few chances but you took one of yours with a plom and a hard earned 3 points were earned, never expected RVP and Gerrard to come face to face like that aswell.

Think Skrtel said he elbowed him, or tried to.

  10. Great result and we dug in well, further proof of inproved mentality. However, it was a **** game of football and we just did what we needed to to scrape through. Yet again we retreated once taking the lead and hung on for a 1-0. Never going to complain about that against Man Utd but its the third time in three games which is a little concerning.

Also, too many Liverpool fans getting carried away with our record breaking start (first prem time to win first three without conceding) and talking up a title win <doh>

What a day though lads <ok>

Loved Moyes' blab about playing really well - best so far - and losing 1-0 <laugh>

He couldn't use the finances excuse this time the ugly old scrote.

Thanks fella, bigger man than some Utd fans who were standing next to me today. They were understandably disappointed though and I think you need some creativity in your midfield urgently, even more so if Shrek leaves.

You saying this isn't our year?! #plastic

Think it's been a good start and 3 games that last year we probably would have thrown away which is encouraging. Would be nice for us to score a couple of goals to make things a bit more comfortable though! We're bound to have a blip at some point and we just need to remember that we aren't title contenders, unless come May we're still in with a shout of it. As long as we stay within touch of Arsenal/Spurs then it'll set us up nicely for the end of the season.

Our game plan was fine, but with the ball we were terrible.. We couldn't stick 3 or 4 passes together at some points, we never truly had an outlet to relieve our pressure, pair that with bad decision making beyond the half way line. With that said, so far this season proves one thing to me - Rodgers has come so far, he knows how to set-up his team and he's finally proving he's not inept when it comes to setting up a defensive shape.. We just need that extra bit of quality to shine through more.

  18. Yep, agree with that. As I said, I'm not complaining as we've done well results/points wise so far. My point is not even about the lack of goals, it is about out inability to play for more than a half!

"It's the best we've played this season. I wouldn't be worried if I didn't add to the squad," said Moyes. <doh>

    Did you know?
United boss David Moyes has never enjoyed a Premier League victory at Anfield, losing five times and drawing six <laugh>

Yeah, is a bit of a worry that in every game so far this season, we've been poorer in the 2nd half of games, but so far have either got away with it, or it's been a tactical masterclass (depends how you want to look at it).

I don't think it will continue that way all season, think it's just new faces still bedding in and in games we'll start to get a couple of goals and then things will be a bit easier.
