We need some pace, and someone willing to take on defenders. Puncheon did that. For me, someone similar would be fantastic.
I agree that we could use another puncheon style player. Although not wide players osvaldo and ramirez have so far looked keen to trouble defences. And lallana has been better at taking the game on. As we saw with rodriguez a run of games and a bit of confidence can drastically improve a player and lets be honest we arent going to get anyone in half as good as what weve already got. I would rather see how rowe and isgrove develop although i dont rate the latters chances and rowe will need to earn a start in the carling cup before he gets a look in fora league game.
To be fair their wingers are now Chadli, Lamela, Holtby, Townsend and Ince if he goes. Means the end of lennon.
I'd hope Lennon doesn't get any game time ahead of that lot. Would Ince get any game time? Probably just in cups I guess. I'll be interested to see how much Ince finally goes for if it is to happen.
Thought Holtby was more central? He'd just been forced to play on the wing because Bale was playing central last year?
There are many better wide men out there than Lennon, and I really don't think he's good enough to play for England, but if Spurs were to make him available tomorrow, I wouldn't say no.
