Rodallega is miles better than what we have already. He's about the best we can hope for, plus he has spent all his career in English football and the PL. You could add Wells to the squad if you already have a PL quality striker - we don't at present.
Ok 3 games in and 3 encouraging performances just need icing on the cake by way of a decent striker, but who is available and hits the spot; Gedo Rodelaga not sure on either tbh, jusr a thought, why not offer cairney, fryatt and cash to see if we can tempt blackburn for rhodes, seems to be a goal scoring machine in the champiomship, and I know hes not proven in prem, but were not gonna get that,
I think to make our squad 'complete' we need to find a striker AND a right winger as Aluko is much more effective as a CF. Hell, i'd be happy with just a forward though. First-team squad (4-4-1-1) GK: McGregor, Harper, Jakupovic RB: Elmohamady, Rosenior CB: Davies, Chester, McShane, Faye, Bruce LB: Figueroa, Dudgeon DM: Huddlestone, Meyler RM: X, (Aluko), (Elmohamady) CM: Livermore, Koren, Quinn LM: Brady, (Quinn), (Boyd) CF: Aluko, Boyd, (Brady) ST: X, Graham, Sagbo * Indicates multiple positions First XI ....................McGregor Rosenior - Chester - Davies - Figueroa X...-...Livermore - Huddlestone - Brady .......................Aluko ..........................X
Koren has been playing down the right and I think he's done a good job so far. ...We're linked with a move for Barry Bannan from Villa in The Mirror - can't see that one.
Any truth to the rumour about Defoe? If he's available for 5m, we should go for him, since we have about 5m in our budget free (spent 11m, earnt 1m on Evans, reportedly had 15m available). What would his wages be like?
How about make Livermore permanant £3.5m, free up a loan space and maybe get a better striker on loan (defoe) than we could buy
I think its possible from our side. It'd be whether Jake would want to join us on a permanent deal this early on in the season.
I know the jury's still out on Graham, but there's an argument we should make his loan permanent as Sunderland will definitely recall him in January if he's playing well.
Ba on loan from Chelsea would be a decent option for us. Convert either Graham or Livermore to permanent signings and bobs your uncle. If need be offer some of the Humber Bridge cable as a sweetener.
Im not sure what people expected of Graham: Chelsea: he was upfront by himself against a very good defence, he didnt see much of the ball but neither did the rest especially for the first 25 mins. Didnt score but neither did RVP and co at old trafford. Norwich: Started on the bench and came on when we only had 10 men, again didnt get much service Man City: did ok, took his goal well apart from been offside Think he needs to be given more time before writing him off afterall are we going to sign any better unless we pay 6 million + for someone? He scored a bagful is the championship and a few for Swansea which is more than any of our other strikers
Bruce obviously being given the nod from the Allams to get one more in. Think Gedo is another back up option though. Bruce keeps talking about the class of Huddlestone and Livermore bringing additional quality. This doesn't describe Rodallega or Vaz Te. All roads therefore still lead to Bendtner but what the **** do I know.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/hull-transfers-hugo-rodallega-fulham-2244041? Personally don't believe any ****e that the mirror or star come up with.
According to Humbs our list is at least one of Gedo, Rodallega or Bendtner. I hope we manage at least 2 Gedo and a n other. We play almost half our league games before the window re opens. I think we need the quality, diversity and competition 4 decent strikers would bring.
Yeah but in terms of goalscoring he isn't. Rodellega managed 10 in his first season, then 9 and 2 in his final season. That's 22 league goals in 3 seasons. Not really what you'd call a prolific Premier League striker, but before then he had a great record in Mexico. Unless Brucie can get him firing, I don't see how his record is any better than Danny Graham's.
Apparently Leanardo Ulloa is angling for a move to a PL club and there'll be uproar if he goes to Palace. Could we snaffle him for a decent price?
