Ah thanks, agree with you now I think the squad looks a whole lot healthier now. Brendan is benefiting from the crop of young players coming through admittedly - Ibe, Suso, Sterling and Wisdom are looking like very shrewd buys now.
We had a better team than them at the time and had just played in our 2nd champions league final in 3 years. Not sure why they would think he would have preferred to join them. Especialy as he made it clear publicly while he was still at madrid that he wanted to join liverpool

I think arsneal fans are completely deluded. everyone who they never bid for clealry wanted to join them not the club they did join... if only the bid. well the evidence of several attempts this summer is that anyone they tried for didn't want to join them. The torres bid took us a month to finalise so nobody pinched a player.. .they had ample chance to buy if they were ever wanting him.
well if it was done we'd just announce them. if both players are in the stands today... well its probably done. if neither are.... hmmmmmm starting thinking.
I know it hasn't been made 'official' yet but seeing Sakho in a Liverpool top sitting/leaning on a sofa, pretty much tells me it's a done deal. Especially as PSG have openly come out and said Sakho is no longer their player.
I would think it will be after the match or maybe introduced on the pitch prior to kick off to get that feel good feeling
I'm really not a fan of this guy, he very one dimensional and I don't see how he fits in with the versatile forwards we have tried to sign.
