I wouldn't hold your breath, he's our village idiot.

Rhodes would be perfect for us, the only issue is the £10m Blackburn are demanding, along with the £45k a week he earns. The only plus point, is the fact that he actually wants to join us.

    What about Luciano Becchio?

Hasn't settled at Norwich and they've since brought in RVW. Could get him for a decent price.

I think you're reading too much into what I originally said. Of course I would have been bouncing if Aluko's effort had gone in, but all I'm saying is it would have also focussed what was a pretty lackadaisical attack by Man City and we would have gone into defensive mode rather than playing the good expansive football we did.

I want City to score whenever they can, but realistically you have to accept that the other team will go on the front foot when they concede and for a top four club that means a lot of fire-power. My only comment was that not scoring early (against a team as dangerous as Man City) could have been a blessing in disguise and the modest 2-0 defeat probably bears that out.

A Great game and a Great try by the Tigers. What an effort and deserved much more from the game. Sadly No Cigar just plenty of back slaps and applause. Manchester City fans were very impressed and feel we are better that Newcastle Utd and wont go down. Shame that YaYa Toure's goal came from a free kick that wasn't. Samir Nasri has been doing his dives forever and sadly Chester has now been done by Torres and Nasri. He will learn though.

Well happy with august overall though.

A fantastic performance, Davies is terrific, Huddlestone is a different class and I have no idea how Bruce pulled that one off. He could of signed for someone in the top 10 quite easily. Get Livermore tied down on a permanent, Graham was excellent too. Elmo has been very good too as have all the lads.

Fans were brilliant, did anyone on the left side see that blonde bimbo Man City fan giving it loads? What an embarrassment that woman was.

The same Elmo who lost his man for Man City's first goal? Great going forward, but a crap defender.

Credit to the 1600 or so that went.

How disappointing that as a club our fans have become so lazy and complacent that they can't be arsed to travel to our nearest away game and the secoind best team in the country.

I would never have believed that our support would become so fickle and lukewarm.

The fact I have a different view hasn't made me read too much into your observation; although I can understand why you might believe it, just that I think it's wrong. My view is that, even with a slightly dodgy defender in Elmo, we have a good enough defensive structure to defend a lead and against a weaker defence, which ManC are, we could well steal another goal. Perhaps my glass is half full and yours has a leaky bottom <cheers>

I had to go, I think nearby away games are a must. A lot of people I'm sure will have been put off by the price of tickets (anyone over 16 it cost them 41 quid). Mental prices!

Maybe I'm just a tight arse but there is no way I'll be paying those prices, likewise if the Allams increase home tickets. I'd much rather take the family out for the day...
