Cheers Jose - I agree if he isn't injured then maybe he is off somewhere.

Again I agree about Spring, thinking about it he has played best when we have had 3 in centre midfield, otherwise I guess he is a luxury and GA (I agree) likes busy 110% guys if only playing 2.

How did Wood play, I much prefer him in midfield then defence.

wood was excellent - good cross to set up deanos goal, tracked back all day and in the second half he was able to go on long forward runs at times when we were on the counter... he also played about 30 seconds with only one boot! surprised to see the team first out that hause had been moved to leftback and keeping wood in midfield but hause played superbly and I would urge gaz to leave the team unchanged (unless scowen cant play, in which case bring on lewis)

on a slightly more concerning note, today was morgans 4th yellow card in 4 starts, cant remember Wimbledon but his bookings today and at oxford were really stupid and he is leaving himself open to a lot of suspensions this season

Good as I think Wood is a quality player but maybe wasn't played as much last season after his injury. Glad Hause played well always good to see the youngsters play well and GA to give them a chance.

Whilst I am concerned as Deano is clearly a cut above the rest, 1) It will give the others a chance 2) Deano might be fresher for games 3) demonstrates he is putting in commitment. (these are silver linings as I don't want to see him suspended regularly (like Scowen))

After the diabolical display against Mansfield, this was a far far better performance…made even better because I had met up with a couple of Sarfend supporter workmates in Scores before the match fully expecting them to go home happier. No doubt we beat a far better team in my opinion, especially with a finisher like Eastwood, and the second half was very, very nervy. Although Max K made couple of poor passes, I thought he did supply some quality dead-balls…something that we had been lacking in the three games I've seen so far.

Two textbook goals, but Mr Brown was, and should be, very angry with some poor set-piece defending!

Morgan and Craig were busy and troublesome, but I thought Docherty and Leon played a blinder. I was worried that Gaz did not bring on some fresher defensive legs as the game went on, if only because the back four were having a torrid time…but luckily he did not have to pay the price.

Great result and I used my free 'meal' voucher…if only to soak up the pre-match beer.

If we can keep it going on the road…(I find it hard to get excited about the cups) things are looking up!
