What do you guys think? Perhaps we're a little bit lucky to be level. It looked like a cast iron penalty to me (Johnson) and they also hit the post. But, except for that, we're the better team. Bit disappointed with Fer. He was really bigged up, but he hasn't dominated midfield in the way we were told he would. OK, though. It's the away form that's the problem.
When did we last see a player in a City shirt able to time a jump as well as RvW? I can't think of anyone since Ron Davies. RvW has that ability to get up and seem to hang in the air, a mark of perfect timing.
I actually think RvW has been very up and down - he's been in great positions and then his passing has been poor. We're the better team on the basis of dominating the first 30 mins compared to them the next 15 and the stats are with us, but Lallana's shot was closest. Two penalty shouts is even, thou I agree that Johnson's was much more likely. Think he only got away with it because it would have hit his face. They are fouling a lot and we need to build from the back better - one time we knocked it round in the middle and created loads of space and a great attack starting with Fer, who has been superb. More of that please! Oh and what is wrong with Ruddy's distribution at the mo?
