So because they're from the same country they'll have exactly the same characteristics and react to pressures exactly the same way? Is ignorance really bliss mate? I've always wondered.
From the outset I can understand your sentiment but we cant be arrogant enough to think a Swansea player who cant get in their team wont make ours better, different styles and managers use players differently.
Ki joins on loan South Korean midfielder arrives from Swansea City. Sunderland have signed midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng from Swansea City on a season-long loan. The 24-year-old South Korean international is the club's 11th summer signing. He is not eligible for today's game against Crystal Palace. Ki was a regular for Swansea last season, making 38 appearances in all competitions, and will link up with international colleague Ji Dong-won on Wearside. A stylish operator in the middle of the park, he began his career in his native South Korea having spent time in Australia as a youngster. A successful spell with FC Seoul brought Ki to the attention of Scottish giants Celtic, for whom he signed in 2009. Ki's stay in Scotland was a successful one as he clocked up 85 appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals and winning an SPL title and Scottish League Cup. The midfielder moved south to Swansea in August 2012 and made his league debut for the Welsh side in a 2-2 draw against Sunderland the same month. He was in the Swansea team which won the Capital One Cup last season, beating Bradford City in the final.
I hate loan signings unless we have the option to buy? I understand us getting a playmaker in, as we are desperate for one, just would have preferred one that is OURS! When loan signings turn into our best players and they feck off back to their clubs we are left with a bigger hole to fill.
