Australia usually collapsed in the Tests once you got past the first few batsmen...a couple of early wickets will make all the difference in this game. If not, a few more dot balls, lads, would help. We were scoring well in the first T20, but the Aussies didn't let us score off EVERY ball!

Aside from that amazing knock by Finch we would have quite comfortably won that game but that's T20. It only takes one batsmen (or bowler) to really hit their straps and the game is won/lost in a few overs. How people think T20 is more exciting than tests is beyond me.

It's a sign of the times. Instant entertainment. No-one wants to wait for anything anymore!

Without a doubt, knocks like Finch's determine the outcome a t20 matches there and then. But it's not like every t20 match is determined by one bowler or one batsmen. Generally speaking, the outcome of a decent amount of them is still unknown after 38 or 39 overs of the 40. Not all of them clearly, but a decent amount.

For me, it's a better format than one day cricket, where I think exciting finishes are less likely than in t20.

All forms have their good points. I like T20 for the exciting batting, but ODIs aren't so one dimensional. There is more scope for tactics in ODI.

I do enjoy watching T20's but just don't find them as exciting as a good test match.

With the small margins you often get in T20 a lot of the time the result comes down to luck, with a streaky edge or missed stumping being the difference.

ODI's can be pretty good but the constant rule changes makes it hard to keep up. I think I rank cricket as Test, T20 then ODI. I certainly watch more Test and T20 anyway.

The upside of ODI's is you get a full day's entertainment / chance to get pissed

The downside is they are getting increasingly dull and one-sided.

My first match was one dayer at the Rose Bowl, fair to say I was more interested in the all day drinking and heckling the outfield at the time.

Shame that we're seven wickets down, because our RRR to beat Lancs from here isn't actually that high (granted its not exceptionally low either, but it's comfortably achievable given wickets in hand).

Be nice to see Wheater get his first Hants 100. And a Coles 50 would do his chances of staying here permanently no harm at all.

With more wickets in hand you would expect them to chase this down. Still not impossible though.

We have had far too many draws this season, which consigns us to another season in Division 2.

100 partnership. It's hardly likely the salvage the game, but it does salvage a smidgen of respectability. We were at risk of being all out for 160, and not even making 400 in our two innings combined.

Next target is the 200 run partnership at 329...then go for the record 8th wicket partnership for Hants which is 257.
