Good first half! We should be 1-0 up and cruising. Rubbish linesman. SWP works really well defensively, but how on Earth does he manage to **** up so many simple passes going forward? I am not complaining though because games like today away at Leeds he is doing and does a very good job. This will be like last week - 1-0 to the Superhoops.
Not Barton's best game so far. He's now had 135 mins in a row of stodgy performance- hope he picks up in the 2nd half!
Shocker by the linesman. Robbed again! Lack of imagination from midfield to push the ball forward. Bit predictable in passing the ball backwards all the time. Would like to see Simpson push for the line occasionally when looking to cross the ball. Been disappointed with SWP and Austin. I'll be amazed if JB finishes without a card, he's being wound up! It's a game we could win, but has all the hallmarks of a 0-0 unfortunately.
Barton hasn't been spectacular but he has been solid and is not hiding. Always looking for the ball. SWP offers nothing only workrate, not enough when we are short of creativity.
Just seen the disallowed goal....what a crap decision by the linesman.....he obviously guessed. Other than that we seem to be moving the ball around quiet nicely, mind only saw last 15 mins of half.... COYR's
I thought O'Neill's passing was the worst in first half, didn't get many passes to teammates. Only bright spot (excluding Bartons goal) was SWP, definitely best player on the pitch. Austin been a disappointment so far, let's hope he gets better in second half. Bartons goal should have stood, not even close to being offside.
Hoilett on for O'Neil. We need to shift the ball with more urgency and up the tempo if we're to win this.
