In the drivel stakes Phil, you are king. Musty - who are the three morons? Apparently, they know who they are - pray tell us. As John said, clarifying your one liner could be interesting. If you haven't got the balls to give us an answer on the thread, perhaps it would be better if you stuck to it's subject eh?
No probs Sparks - enjoy my visits - good luck to you both today - would be nice to embarrass the MOTD pundits - both tough asks but you never know.
Not at all Taff , i believe i responded correctly in asking for more information about these "morons" musty was on about As for our league position im sure things will take a turn for the good soon as Man City at the CCS a massive game for both sides not only us
Terrific result for Cardiff - tremendous battling display Swans a bit unlucky - ref only gave the 'penalty' (which wasn't in my book) because he had fooked up on the earlier decision that was one ...
OK guys, back to the OP - well will they tomorrow? A defeat for us by Everton this afternoon and a win at West Brom for them tomorrow could well do it. We need some opinions on here - where's Dai when you need him? Dai - what do you think about this weekend pal? Can we keep the Toffees out? Can Laudrup get the Swans flying again at the Hawthorns? Who'd be a pundit eh?
Sparkey, I have us beating Everton, they are finding it hard to score goals plus the Man U saga, I don't things are good with them. I'm getting a bit worried for Swansea only 1 win in their last 12 in the Prem. Winning or loosing can become a trend. 3 points for us 1 point for the Swans That's my prediction.
I think both us and the swans are in for a tough day. We are on a high from beating Man city last week and the fall out will be that expectations are going to be high. Everton go to the Cardiff City Stadium looking for their first win of the season and it will be interesting to see if Baines and Fellaini play given the transfer rumours surrounding them. I think we could win this one but it will be close a game. The swans played well against Man Utd at home but were on the wrong end of a 4-1 loss, personally I thought they matched Utd that day and only clinical finishing and Van Persie did them. Can't say too much about the Spurs game but the BBC reported Spurs were too good and worthy of their win and Swans complaining about poor refereeing and a poor performance from them saw them lose that one. WBA scored there first goals of the season against Newport earlier in the week so may bag one today but I think the swans will have the upper hand and get their first league win today.
It'll be tomorrow for the Swans if they do get it Taff. Tough game against Everton and anything more than a point for us will be a huge bonus. Having said that, I'd be very dissappointed to lose this one. The two points that Everton have got are a fair reflection of their performances so far - I think they'll need something a bit special to beat us. I think we've got every chance today, but another stellar performance like the one against Man City will be a hard call. Having said that, Everton are nowhere near Man City standard. If the Swans play the way they set their stall out last season, they could easily beat the Baggies, but they are not firing properly at the moment. They've got some very good players, but they need to get it together again.
Morning gents, Everton are a good side, and proved a big handful for us these last two years. They demolished us on three occasions managing to get a point up at Goodison as we set ourselves up NOT to lose. Under Moyes they have been a great unit, and have some fantastic players, watch out for Fellani he's one top player. Now under Martinez (Give him a nice warm welocome won't you ) I don't know what you can expect from them, so this is a difficult game to call. A point will be good result against a well organised Everton, but my one eyed jack in me have you down to loose, but do as you did last week you will get something from the game. Onto our game, not panicking yet, but this is a game where we need to pick some points up. I do think we can get the three points from this one, we tend to play well against West Brom, beating them up the first time then loosing last season because the ref and linesman didn't know the off side rule. I'd take a point but feel all three are up for grabs. Have a good one lads!!
So that's where you got your name from......... Everton are changing under Martinez, but they still have basically the same players on the pitch at the moment as Moyes had. They were always good under him defensively, so it must be a sea change for them with Martinez there. He was always exactly the opposite with Wigan. Scored very well but couldn't defend for toffee (no pun intended). Brom are a solid outfit but should be the sort of side that a club like Swansea should look to take points off.
Sparkey, it was a scandalous decision, it's the first time I've see a goal disallowed with the ball being deflected off a West Brom player and said player was on side when the ball was first played. Needless to say that the ref and linesman was dropped from the following weeks fixtures. Not sure what Martinez will try and do at Everton, if he sticks to the tried and tested formula they had under Moyes then they will be a difficult side to breakdown. They do have some cracking players. Thing is with Everton they have a good established defence, not one that Martinez has put together. These are the teams were all competing against, the glamour clubs if points are taken off them, then their bonus points. I'm sure MM & ML will be looking at these games where points needed to be gained.
5 points for us now in 4 games. Swans need to beat 'Pool tomorrow to get ahead of us, can't see that but they could get a draw.
