I'll get pilloried for this, but isn't it all too choreographed? It's just performing seals.

Don't you think if there was some danger, they'd stop it? The fact this kind of thing is allowed outside the UK and doesn't burn stadiums down every other week pretty much confirms what a nonsense it is outlawing it in this country.

Most Stadiums are metal or concrete anyway and I'm pretty sure they don't set on fire. No matter how much you tried, I don't think you could set the KC on fire... You could probably do somedamage on the plastic seats (a little bit of a melted spot) but that's about it.

The 'Faye flare' for when Faye scores is funny IMO. Especially when it came out at Leeds.

An explanation as to why the atmosphere at the KC is rubbish and always will be. We have fans like this miserable so and so.
For a start the smoke bombs they sell abroad are designed for this use and not dangerous to inhale. Also, the people who want to involve themselves in this congregate in that area so there is no need for whinging moaners like the poster to be there if they wanted to avoid it.Though no doubt he would insist on going in that area and then proceeding to complain to all and sundry instead of another area where he could sit as though at a theatre politely applauding a goal, but not too loudly of course and not forgetting to praise the other team.
And, anyone who thinks that smoke flares can set fire to a steel and concrete structure should not be allowed out unaccompanied as they are a danger to themselves and others with their stupidity.

The KC did set on fire when it was being built. Quite badly too, it cost a few thousand seats.

This is the reason English football crowds have gone so sterile, no one wants to congregate around dim witted **** tards.

Was that the scaffolding and what not though? With it being under construction at the time? Or literally the seats set on fire?

The seats, a bloke I know was working on it at the time, he showed me photos and it caused considerable damage. The council were rushing and wanted to do things quicker than they should, they insisted on putting the seats in before the roof was completely done, they covered the seats in wool fleeces to protect them and a welding spark dropped and set it alight, then the fire spread round the seats faster than they could control it.

I'm not sure how many people know this, the builders were told strictly not to tell anyone, but I'm guessing a fire at the almost complete KC stadium would have been a bit hard to keep under wraps and Blunderside and HDM at least would have reported it.

I heard rumours but didn't have it confirmed. Never really did any digging but it looks as though it was the wool that set alight then. The seats won't spread a fire in the KC on a match day. I don't think so anyway. But then again, I aren't a fire expert <laugh>

Perhaps the flags and clothed bodies are combustible? <whistle>

That's class. It puts the fans of many other clubs to shame. I'd love to make our atmosphere more intimidating to away fans, maybe a "WELCOME TO HULL" banner in the style of the Galatasaray fans. Just make it really loud and booming, instead of 300 or so fans in the top corner. Seriously, whoever gets together and creates the chants, consider a more European approach.

I admire the passion the Polish fans have for football, however the Ying Yang of it and their racist tendencies takes the edge of admiring them as a football nation.

As for flares, they look spectacular but I don't think they belong in our footballing culture and never really have done. That wasn't what I was admiring, it was the the overall effect and choreography that went into that display. Make no mistake those 15,000 people didn't just roll up and decide to start doing that. They will have practiced that over and over again in an empty stadium. THAT is dedication to creating an atmosphere to inspire your players.

Do these other countries have a compensation culture so deeply embedded that people don't have to take responsibility for themselves? There is no such thing as an accident because someone should have stopped it happening?
Pretty sure someone would claim for injury, real or imagined, if those flares were set off in an English stadium. The health and safety obsession in this country is a direct result of the compensation culture we adopted from the Americans.

And how long do you think they have played a part in Poland's football culture? Do you think there were flares and displays of enthusiasm like that under the Commies? Do you think we should never do anything new?
