Im sure his record isnt actually that good Similar to Sess in the way of a skillful player but rarely scores goals
Yes! Think Julian will be even more prolific in the years to come. He's such a good all round player for the age he is. He can play behind the striker and LM so he's versatile as well. If Sess went and he came in ( yes I know it would never happen ) it would be the best signing in the past 6/7 years
If only but as you say, it will never happen. He will probably end up at Madrid or Bayern one day. One good thing to note though is that he would choose us over Dortmund ha ha, being a Schalke lad, I doubt he would ever wear the yellow..
Very true. I can see him at Bayern in a few years perhaps. Would love to see him in the premier league though. He'd sign for Bayern just so he can play Dortmund still! I take it you watch the German league then? I need to watch more to be honest, think its more entertaining that the Spanish league and the premiership
I worked in Germany 79-83 on short term contracts and used to go and watch Dortmund play. Brilliant atmosphere and at the time Keegan was at Hamburg and Tony Woodcock was at Cologne which made it all the more interesting. I still watch it now and then when I can but as an observer, there's a hell of a lot of talent in that league..
Oh right! Sounds good. Went over a few years ago to Berlin for a couple of weeks and fell in love with the place. Would happily take a job there over London or Manchester. Had a quick tour of hertha berlin's stadium too and that was good. It's gonna take over the Spanish league in the next 2/3 years definitely. Their investment into youth has really paid off and it's starting to show. Something English teams need to start doing.
Hamburg is/was a great city. Back then they played at the Volkspark Stadion which wasn't far from the city centre before they moved out to the AOL. Fell in love with the place, sitting by the Alster lakes & many a happy night spent drinking along the Reeperbahn.
