Not sure why United didn't move for Fellaini sooner when there was a release clause in his contract, surely Moyes must have known about this? Rather than wasting time chasing Fabregas who always seemed unrealistic, he could have got this deal done early so I'm not sure we'll see it happen. Not sure how Fellaini would feel either as he's obviously Moyes' back-up choice.
Sidwell & Parker at Fulham...not sure about that one. Think Mata bid from Spurs is old news in terms of information getting to the press.
Seriously if Spurs signed Mata, they could easily challenge for the title. Can't see Chelsea selling though. Shame because a player of Mata's quality cannot be sitting on the bench every week.
Still has a big role to play here, methinks. The fitness demands on our CMs are so extreme that we can't really have them going out there at 80%, and that will mean quite a few starts for Cork over the course of the year.
I must admit, I can't blame them for trying. They're going all out to spend the Bale-Out money [Geddit..? That's my headline, OK..?] I can easily see them overshooting 4th place. And where will Arsenal be..? Out of the Champions League.
Spurts are putting some squad together. Just would be funny if Madrid turn round and say no thanks to Bale after being dicked around.
As I said the other day, Spurs aren't spending money they don't have. Of course they are spending in anticipation of Bale leaving, but they can afford to spend this amount of money even if he doesn't go. If that was to happen then they'd probably need a couple of quiet transfer windows to make up for this one, but they're a very rich team. The common opinion that they're spending the Bale money is a misguided one.
To be honest Joe, I had no idea of whether they were spending money they already had or not. I just wanted to use my headline. SPURS SPEND BALE OUT..!
It's both exciting and worrying that they could realistically play a completely changed front six. ---Paulinho--Capoue--- Lamela--Eriksen--Chadli --------Soldado------- They should probably have Sandro in there, but that'll surely happen at least once this season.
Apparently Fulham have put in an offer for Cork (source: my son on the sofa). Can't see us letting him go...he will get game time this season.
Agree. I'm tired of actually saying it on here. So it would not actually be funny at all, as they would batter us and others all season.
Spurs will be a great place to sign a bargain or two for some teams in the next transfer window or the summer one. Some very good players won't get much time on the field this season unless he rotates his squad AVB which I don't see him doing too the extent he would need to keep all those players happy.
