I think that ManC will end up peppering our goal. McGregor to be man of match. we can get a cheeky draw. 1 - 1
Means I have to get up at 4 am here to be ready for the 4.45 am kick off. No way to start the weekend. Just hope we don't sit back like we did against Chelsea and let them pepper us till we go 2 goals down before getting into the game. Please no lone striker (Graham) up top SB.
i'd happily swap getting up at 10am for 4am if i could live in canada but i think graham will be upfront! what channel is it on in canada?
Manchester City vs Hull City Match Preview please log in to view this image vs. please log in to view this image Barclays Premier League Saturday 31st August 2013 12:45 Kick-Off Etihad Stadium, Manchester Manchester City Contrasting performances for Manchester City fans to witness at the beginning of this Season's Barclays Premier League. After giving Newcastle a 90 minute lesson in football, the blue-half of Manchester were given a harsh reality check when being on the receiving end of a shock result after losing 3-2 to fellow Promotion newcomers Cardiff City in which ex-Tiger Fraizer Campbell scored two very well taken headers. There's no doubt to the sheer quality and firepower within the Manchester City ranks with the likes of Jésus Navas, David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko, Samir Nazri etc and new Manager Pellegrini at the helm and they are amongst the bookies (and most people's) favourites to be challenging for the Premier League title. There are obvious weaknesses in defence (generously exploited by our rivals Cardiff) when Vincent Kompany is missing and there is no doubt that Manchester City will be looking to bounce back from last week's humiliation and regain their winning momentum. Hull City Just adding to the Tiger's difficult start to the Season after facing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and battling against a strong Norwich side with 10 men for an hour, they have to travel to Manchester to face another team expected to be up in the Top 3/4 come the end of the Season. Hull accumulated 3 very important and well-fought points thanks to Robbie Brady's first-half penalty after Sagbo was brought down by ex-Tiger Michael Turner. A bit of déjà -vu in the Cup as City were taken to extra time by League 1 Leyton Orient which was won by an excellent individual goal by the young Robbie Brady again, means Steve Bruce's men travel to the Etihad Stadium on the back of 2 straight wins in all Competitions. City will obviously be without Yannick Sagbo after the Ivorian was controversially sent off in the Norwich fixture and will serve 2 more match bans. What I think... Manchester City will be full of intent and Pellegrini will be telling his players to actually do what is expected after the Cardiff fiasco. He will no doubt want to avoid any unnecessary negative press this early in the Season for having poor results against both us and Cardiff and so I expect an all-out attacking approach from them. I think we'll set up similarly to the Chelsea game; damage limitation. We will defend, be in our own half pretty much all game (around the 30/40% mark possession-wise) and attempt to hit them on the counter. Any points from this game would be a massively unexpected bonus IMO and we need to show that we will fight rather than rolling over and having our bellies tickled by obviously stronger opponents. NO FEAR! Interesting Facts... - Manchester City and Hull City have met four times in the Premier League - each club has one win apiece, with two draws. - Hull have only won away at Manchester City once in 11 games across all competitions. That was a 2-1 win at Maine Road in the fifth round of the FA Cup - in 1930. - Manchester City only lost one game from a leading position last season (Tottenham away). - Manchester City conceded twice from corners in their loss at Cardiff. They only conceded six times from corners throughout the whole of last season. - Hull have now received five red cards in their last 15 Premier League games. (Facts taken from the BBC Preview)
Man city's stadium actually holds a lot of memories for me Since im only 22 at school, one of my best mates was a huge man city fan, season holder and the like so when he went on holiday, he gave me his passes so i went to see man city v blackburn rovers at the city of manchester stadium, must of been 2004?! And in the concourse i actually talked to ben burgess ( who was still injured from the clash with the huddersfield goalkeeper i believe) i was young and was shocked to see one of my fav city players in the concourse at a man city game, i went as red as tomato plus this was when man city were **** just a random fact i wanted to share with my beloved forum members :3
I can't see anything other than a thrashing personally. Negredo will grab 2 goals and 3-0 seems about right.
Playing them at the wrong time, Jovetic is back for his debut (even off the bench), Natasic is coming back to replace Javi Garcia, and they will be out for revenge after Cardiff match! Only positive is that Kompany is still out.
3 hour drive I'm not looking forward to, but yeah, not the same as Hu7tiger, I've got a good feeling about this game. Or it's wind.
Cheers mate, new layout and everything. Think it looks a bit better. This one was rushed because I missed the Norwich preview and almost missed this one as I've been so busy at work and home. There's still changes to be made and what not, but it was just a case of getting it done before the match. You could be the most consistent and loyal viewer of my Previews
