This Is Anfield ‏@thisisanfield 1h French rapper @Mokobe113 and friend of Mamadou Sakho has confirmed the defender is moving to Liverpool. I'll trust this sauce more than any ITK. Happy with this, Illori is a good one for the future , but one of Sakho and Papa was a must, glad we are getting one of the two.
Rumours I assume, personally I'm going to wait until the club confirm it, hopefully it'll be confirmed tomorrow or something
I dont think Erikson is really what we need and wouldnt have improved our first 11 much. Not compared to signing a LF.
I've seen it already, been checking in and out from my phone throughout the day but was unable to post pics
Liverpool agree to pay £25m for Mamadou Sakho and Tiago Ilori Tony Barrett, Gary Jacob Window watch Liverpool hope to complete four signings before the transfer window deadline on Monday night after closing in on the £25 million combined purchase of two central defenders, Mamadou Sakho and Tiago Ilori, last night. A fee of about £18 million has been agreed with Paris Saint-Germain for Sakho, the France international, and Sporting Lisbon have accepted Liverpool’s £7 million offer for Ilori. The pair are scheduled to arrive on Merseyside in the next 24 hours for medical examinations as Brendan Rodgers attempts to strengthen his squad. “There are talks going on as you would expect with a number of players,” the Liverpool manager said. “That’s what every club does. They don’t just have one player. They have to compare four or five situations. We will review where we are at on Monday.” Talks between Liverpool and Chelsea are continuing as Rodgers looks to sign Victor Moses on a season-long loan. Liverpool are also hoping to wrap up a deal to take Shay Given, the goalkeeper, on loan from Aston Villa. Should that move proceed, Brad Jones will be allowed to leave Anfield. http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/sport/...premierleague/
As with most, I'll wait for the leaning pics on the Liverpool site, however... Would most be happy with this?
£18mil for Sahko seems a hell of a lot... considering he's not 1st choice there thought should be able to get him for something more like £15mil but I guess when you get to the end of the window and only have 1 fit CB and are desperate for more then always likely to pay a higher price.
I must admit, I don't like the sound of all these loan deals going on. Just hope there's a clause () in the Moses deal (if it happens) like the Cissokho one, where we can buy him permanently if we want too.
