Dutch media confirming the Eriksen deal is 12 million€ and could go up to 13.5 million euros

Loris as skipper ?? I think his time would be better spent sorting his near post weakness out than being captain.

So with Vertonghen, Dembele, Eriksen and Chadli, almost half the team comes from the Eredivisie. #justsaying

I would think that as AVB wants what seems to be a new team he'd want one of his signings to be captain so I'd say Verts.

Maybe, but his decision to make Kaboul captain last week as a "reward" for his hard work in training was a poor man management decision and one he didn't need to make. It also totally undermined Dawson.

I doubt Dawson would've been too bothered to be honest Spurcat. Giving the captaincy to player who returned after a year out injured in a match that, with all respect wasn't of great importance shouldn't be of much concern to Dawson really.

He's a fantastic pro anyway, Dawson is one of very few players that puts the club before himself.

i think so. it was a header i think. good goal, but he made himself look a right tit in the celebration. i interpreted it as the "shows how much you know, leaving me out avb you dick, i think you'll find that me and the rest of the world have just proved to you what we all think, ie that you know **** all" celebration.

that was my take on it anyway. noone really joined in (maybe thudd did a bit).

There were perfectly legitimate mitigating circumstances to justify Dawson's celebrations. Earlier in the season, he had lost a very close family member. When that sad news happened, he was at the training ground where mobile phons are banned. His wife needed to contact him to tell him the news and drove to the training ground and was refused admission because her husband was at work and "not to be disturbed". She persuaded the security guys to contact the team coaches and was still refused access to her husband. When Dawson found out, he understandably went ballistic as would you and I, hence his celebrations when he scored against Panathinikos.
