Neuer, Ribery and Thiago all out apparently.

This is the one piece of silverware José doesn't have in his locker and I'm sure he'll be desperate to win it. I sure as hell am, loved beating Real Madrid in 1998 and it's a chance to add to our ever increasing silverware/trophy haul.

Bayern massive favourites and rightly so but with Mata and Luiz coming back into the side I feel we can do it. Our record against all of the big three (Real Madrid, Bayern Munich & Barcelona) is outstanding.

Ahhh the Old Autoglass kit, still got that one somewhere, along with the TV test pattern one with the orange shoulders *yuck.

Should be a chance to give some of the players who havent featured yet a go.
Hope Lukaku starts to be honest. He needs to get games. Hopefully Mata too.

That is what I would like to see, MVG and Lukaku had great pre-seasons and deserve a bit of love. Want to see Willian, more likely from the bench if at all, with Oscar in his place

Willian hasn't even signed, or trained with us from what I understand. No chance he'll be involved till after internationals IMO.

 

I wonder how seriously Jose will take this competition! Bayern will want to pay back after what Drogs did to them, and my guess is he'll want to keep his powder dry for more serious competitions!

 

When's this on and is it being televised?

 

Neur must be fit he's playing tonight, Ribery on their bench also. Thiago out for 7 weeks though

Willian's work permit is tomorrow but I'd be amazed if he travelled. Can't see him being involved until Fulham at home at the earliest, Russian season doesn't coincide with ours so his fitness levels will be different to the rest of the team.

Seriously, what a tough task. Hope we get to see Mata and Lukaku have a trot out. Despite all the signings, still not convinced we have a midfielder who can control the play a la Hoddle, Iniesta etc. Can't understand why we didn't go for Modric again.
