So you think we might struggle,so might fulham, palace, cardiff, hull, newcastle, wba, everton, southampton, arsenal?. It's two games in and we are not in the bottom three,so things are looking good. We have not been hammered which is a good sign,so why all this fuxxing negativity The team for me is much better on paper than last seasons team,so lets get behind the lads
I have said before, this buying a new team is a huge strategy by the club. It really could go either way. Watching the games I would say we will struggle..we are playing like a team that has just been put together. Hopefully they will gel quickly. My dearest wish is to see our club way from the trap door, but I don't see that happening this season
Rather this way mate then the 12/13 season with mon... My dearest wish is to get a creative mid in quick! Fella's need to realise that when your in a rebuilding phase you aint gonna get instant results, As hundreds of mackems have previously stated ellis this season is being wise with his cash after being dogged by the last managers with paying way over the odds for half arsed players (except fletcher) A new policy in bringing youth in through the devolopment squad is the way to go and a quick mention how good is duncan watmore!!! should be starting at palace for me like!
As a neutral I gave rep pts to this poster. Stay positive for God's sake lads? I thought we Stoke would be screwed with Huges in Charge. Well all I have seen so far is a manager doing (different) things with our squad, and they are all for the better. Paulo is trying the same at Sunderland. How the heck you can be so fookin negative TWO GAMES in, beggars belief. Do what we will do, get behind your team. On match days, that's what will help the team. And you won't struggle this season, neither will we at Stoke. KTF and good luck for the season.
I'm always a glass is half full man where footy is concerned. It's half empty if we are talking beer and it's your round. I haven't seen this Sunderland team play, and wont until they have got some games under their belts. By that I mean at least ten games to see how they look individually and as a TEAM! I always go into seasons optimistic that maybe just maybe this is our year! Done it for over 50 years now so not gonna stop. I even did it when Bruce came even though I never rated him. Did it with MON who I did rate, and that went well. I think we will have a good season under PDC and one things for sure it wont be ****ing quiet on here whilst he is our manager. hahahaha
Quoting my grandad in the 70's and my dad all thru the 80's...... Take no notice of the league tables until 10 games have been played.. We've played 3 games... And as Clint might say.. 1 good, 1 bad & 1 ugly !? We lost the game we deserved to win.. We won the game we deserved to lose.. And came away with what we went for in the other! The moral of the story IS... It makes no sense.. Lets wait and see !? We will lose games we should win (maybe Hull at home)?? And win games we think we would lose (Everton away ..it's about time eh!!) It's going to be the roller coaster that everyone knew it would be. After our run of tough home games no doubt the pundits will be foaming at the mouth with excitement ... But if these players gel... I have no doubt 2014 will see us going thru the field like Red Rum!! And PDC will have everyone eating their words ! Here's hoping eh!
Went by your quoting your Granda and Da in the 70s and 80s those were my formative years as a die hard SAFC supporter.
First game in 1975... (6 yrs old).... And spent the next 10 years on mail trains (with me dad) travelling up and down the country watching the lads. By '85 I was obsessed and the rest... Is history !!
Too many players have been brought in by a manager with no top flight experience, and that is Shorts fault again, in fact Quinn, Keane etc and Di canio between them no nowt about managing a football club, as proved by todays clap, I have certainly had enough now, and will be away from this place if I come into money, this town is sinking fast run by amatures.
