    --------------Mignolet------------
    -----Wisdom-Skrtel-Agger-------
    -Johnson----------------Enrique
    ----------Lucas--Gerrard-------
    -Henderson---------Coutinho--
    -----------Sturridge-------------

    Bench
Jones, Aspas, Kelly, Sterling, Borini, Ibe, Coady.

Despite Rodgers' caution about Kelly, he played with the U21 team beating United 4-2 earlier this week, so I can only assume that he's short of match fitness, but you don't get that on the bench either. I'd like to see the starting side play 60 minutes, then Ibe and Sterling come from the bench for Henderson and Gerrard and really go at United at pace. But need to get to 60 minutes on terms at least for this.

Agree with this lineup and the tactic you said. However it could be risky to take off two strong midfielders in Gerrard and Henderson. With both off the pitch who is going to provide steel should things take a turn for the worse? I would take off Johnson and slot Wisdom in at RB. Enrique dropping back gives us a proper back 4 for half an hour. On for Johnson is Sterling, who makes it a front 3 with Hendo dropping back. If Coutinho gets tired he can come off for Ibe.

That is more balanced and could help us with the second half jitters we seem to get.

Same line up as vs Stoke and Villa. Why change a winning team? Rodgers should kick their arses at half time this time though cos we are total ****e after 45 mins

Skrtel please. Wisdom is not good enough to play for the first team in any position at the moment, especially at centre back against Robin Van Persie & Wayne Rooney.

    ---------------------------Minoglet
    ------------------Wisdom-Skrtel-Agger
    ---------Johnson----------Lucas-------- Enrique
    -------------------Henderson- Gerrard
    ------------------Coutinho---- Sturridge

If Kolo was fit I would go for a 4-3-3 and a unchanged squad.

When we don't have the ball we switch to 5-3-2, when were attacking 3-5-2.

    -----------Sturridge------------

That's what I'd like to see personally, though we all know that'll be the team bar Wisdom in for Johnson. Aspas and Coutinho are going to have to work very hard, and it could be a long afternoon for Sturridge. Personally I hope we set the pace right from the off, closing down and giving Carrick no time on the ball to dictate the play. I'd like one of Gerrard or Lucas to stay in close proximity of RVP when off the ball too, it's difficult because the mere threat of Van Persie can tempt Johnson or Enrique to come inside as cover, which leaves us vulnerable down the wings.

Will be interesting to see how BR plays this one.

But the thing is, we think of this team as Sir Al's team. Moyes is very defensive and will try to get us on the break, something which we could be better for.

Forgetting the Coutinho missing part. 3 at the back could be a good idea considering we are weakened there. The two fullbacks can push forward to give numbers in the attack. <ok>

    Mine would be

    --------------------Mig------------
    Kelly-----Skrtel----Agger---Enrique
    -----------------Lucas-----------------
    ---------Gerrard------Hendo---------
    Aspas--------Sturridge----------Cou

And Yes, I put Kelly in, because I have far more faith in his defensive ability than Johnson

I'd probably go with that, but we know from Rodgers that Kelly isn't at 100% yet, so it's risky. I would imagine that Johnson had a bollocking after the county game.

  16. No way Johnson won't play. I reckon he could sit on his arse in the centre circle for ninety minutes and he'd still get picked for the next game <doh>

Echo have said that Toure's injury wasn't as severe as first though. He's responding well to treatment and has not given hope of being fit for Sunday.

Very optimistic and I can't see him playing this week but good news as thought he would be out for around a month to 6 weeks.

Need Toure to start ideally. You cannot underestimate how vital his organisation skills are, just like when Hyypia played at OT when we won 4-1.

As long as Skrtel doesn't play, I'm confident of at least a draw
