Exactly, people not from Manchester supporting United can't always necessarily be justified, purely because of what they've achieved. It happens. I'm not from Newcastle myself, but I'm still a supporter and as JWAG said, I can hardly be accused of glory hunting. Ever. If anything people might wonder why I DO support Newcastle. But I do. Ya know. Same with Leeds supporters, supporters who aren't from Leeds can't really be accused of glory hunting anymore.

They might not be glory supporters to the same extent as other clubs but when they come from a place that's not near Newcastle and decide to support your club, nine times out of ten it will be for the same reasons a Man U or Liverpool fan will state: 'they were the first team I saw on the telly', 'I just liked them', 'X was a great player' and so on. I'm not saying that's a bad thing; Leeds have loads of out of town fans and it makes me proud to hear all the different accents at away games. But it's pretty rich for us to have a go at Alex for supporting Man U from Colchester.
