if you'd have been the company's star employee, whose performances had made everyone better paid, and made them admired by people in other firms, and if everyone in the company loved you, but if your firm then told you you had to stay until 5 on the last day (which would be most unlikely if you were the star employee of the company) would you expect everyone to suddenly hate you, if you just ****ed off at half 4 ?
I've worked for many years in various offices, and once people have given in their notice, different rules often apply in practice if not theory. Many firms don't even make their employees work their full notice, as they recognise the 'demotivation factor.' Certainly sore throats are liable to turn into 'I'm missing work because I've the flu' etc, and some employers I believe don't even make their employees work any of their notice. Anyway, footballers aren't office workers, and at the highest level of employment which is what Bale is, all sorts of unbelievable nonsense goes on with 'gardening leave', golden 'handcuffs', padlocks and chastity belts and whatever. Seriously how many CEOs hang around till 5pm on their last Friday?
What an absolutely unbelievable window for us so far. Paulinho Chadli Soldado Capoue Chiriches Lamela With Eriksen likely to join too plus AVB has said they may not be the only ones... WOW... Just WOW. Thank you Daniel and Joe! Great work Daniel, Franco and Andre! COYS!!!
Have to tip my hats off to you, quite an astonishing transfer window from you lot. Not only did you get unbelieveable money from the Bale sale, but you brought in a load of quality replacements, making you an even more stronger unit. Your management should be
Unbelievable work so when Bale leaves it will be the world's highest transfer fee which will be by Spurs. It will be a while I fancy before anybody goes for a higher sum than that which will be agreed. With all these new players I won't fear any team. Well done DL and Baldini. It's up to you now AVB to get them working. Wenger thinks we are imbalanced now so let's just see.
Have we really feared any team over the past few years? We stopped fearing Liverpool many years ago after beating them a few times. We stopped fearing Chelsea after the league cup win. We stopped fearing Man Utd last year after beating them at their place. We've never feared Man City. And now we have an even better team.
come on Christian!!! I have a feeling they're just spacing out the announcements over the course of the day. The club aren't stupid. I'll be amazed if all 3 aren't available for Sunday, bearing in mind the importance of the fixture.
I wouldn't chance the new signings just yet...they would probably need at least a week of training with the squad before their first game.
I thang yow (now who remembers Arthur Askey on here I wonder). Maybe Lamela on the bench, Vlad won't be in the 18 IMO. Eriksen deffo not involved as not signed yet. I'd love to see Holtby given a start if he's fit enough. Paulo Soldo Capo Andro and Chado are sure to start I reckon. What a bench BTW it might be Lamela, Kab, Sandro, JD, amongst others.
