Im not suprised he was being abit of a c@ck like. I wonder if hes always like that, sounded like he was just on a mission to pi$$ people off. Hes suppose to be called Smug, hes a face from years ago. My dads always spoke highly of him aswell!
Seems time and people change mate. It's like he came with a mission, that was to hack people off. I remember him from a long time ago, he dug his own grave, so i kept out of it. Don't know who banned him, but hope it was a decision made by more than one mod, which i'm sure it was.
Yeah i kept out of it aswell. Judging by all the people he hacked off i reckon theyll have been a few requests for him to get banned.
Just because I think we might struggle, it doesn't mean I'm depressed or Mr negative. I've supported Sunderland all my life and was a season ticket holder for years, but whatever Sunderland do on the football pitch, it will never make me depressed lol.. I just think this season will be very difficult for us, because there are a lot of good teams around us. It doesn't make me doom and gloom, just honest and realistic. Yes we might well surplus expectations which would be great, but to avoid relegation will be a good achievement to build on after a year of transition. And as for being depressed, I spend 6 months a year living in southern Spain, so depression is certainly something I don't suffer from
if it doesn't make you depressed or negative then why start a thread with 'We could be in trouble this season'
It's simply too early to tell who will be involved in the relegation scrap. I think it's a fair enough assessment to suggest that on paper Hull & Palace are the two weakest sides but football isn't played on paper. I'd say Newcastle, Sunderland, Villa, Southampton, Fulham, West Brom, Norwich, West Ham, Cardiff, Swansea (due to Europe) and Stoke are all very similar in terms of depth/ability. It often comes down to who has the least injuries/suspensions and who can gather some form a momentum at the crucial periods. Case in point when we finish 5th, very few injuries or suspensions couple with a good first 10-12 league games and we carried that right on through, You then look at us last season where we had injuries, suspensions and Europre and we finished 16th. In my opinion we're probably somewhere between the two (like a lot of teams). WBA are another example, a good first 10 league games for them last season meant that they finished 9th (I believe) but this season they have no Lukaku so they could struggle. It's just a fact that after the top 6 teams (and Everton who won't finish top four but also won't be involved in relegation) there is very little to seperate the rest. We both had bad seasons last year, terrible in fact but we were only 5 & 7 points off a top ten finish so that shows how small the margins are. Can't predict who's going to be involved in the scrap at the bottom until the halfway stage for me and even then there's normally one team down there that goes on a run and ends up just off the top half.
Because I'm saying my honest opinion about our situation? Ok, so if I say "We are going to win the league" I'm positive and not depressed? I don't think we will go down, but think we might struggle, and that's not being negative or depressed, that's looking at our team compared to other teams and making an honest assessment. I think a lot on here are deluded, I see you calling the mags deluded, but I don't see a lot of difference in our team to theirs.
I would say 'hopeful' or 'optimistic' rather than deluded!!! I'm sure the people you are referring to know that we could potentially struggle also!
The need for a childish lol was? As for a, oh look at me i spend 6 months living in Spain, are we meant to be impressed? Is it a case of , oh look at me, i'm spend time in Spain... Whoopppee ****ing do.
Duly noted fella. But go on, give us some positives. I want your take on the good things that are happening.
No. You called me depressed without knowing a single thing about me, I think that's rather childish. So I explained a bit about myself to assure you I'm not suffering from depression. Not asking you to be impressed.
Positives: 1. MON no longer managers this football club. 2. We have some good attacking players, I.e, altidore, fletch, sess, giach. 3. I believe PDC has big ambition, and will improve us no end given time. 4. A good point at saints (who are a very good team) 5. I don't think we will lose tomorrow, at least a draw.
Like i said big call you made only 2 games in 'my honest opinion' I don't post alot but when i seen your thread i had throw my 2 bob in, why? Have some bloody faith in your team mate. ****ting bricks 2 games into the the season **** i wouldn't want you supporting me if i played for Sunderland! Yes i have called a mag deluded when the camel toe suggested migs moving to liverpool was a massive step up from us. I couldn't give a rat's arse about the mags line up but will rejoice when we take 6 points off em this season!
Now if you'd mentioned those in your op you'd have presented a much more credible piece. You do understand how the op may come across to people as very negative don't you? All your positive points are as relevant as your negative ones. So would have been a perfect 'but on the bright side' ending to a lot of negativity. Balancing the scales mate. If you don't add anything constructive, to me personally, come across as you're writing your own club off.
