Looking around at other teams, I can't see many particularly weak ones this season. You have Palace, Hull and not any others I can think of. Villa look good enough Saints, very good side West ham will certainly be safe Norwich have made good signings I think it will be between us, mags and stoke for that last relegation spot. I hope I'm wrong but it will be a good achievement for us to stay up this year, and look to build next year.
Believe me, many are gonna try this. Shoot you down, maybe's rightly so, but time will tell the story.
Obviously we could be in trouble. No point talking about something that's been spoken about extensively already To suggest Cardiff or Norwich won't be in trouble but we will be tells me your just being negative for the sake of it
Palace, Stoke, Hull, The Mags, West Brom, Fulham, Cardiff all going to struggle imo. Not worried, even though we're not going to pick up loads of points first half of the season thanks to our run of home games. 2014 has a glorious run of home games, The team will have gelled more and our overall fitness will kick in and set us apart. If we're around the bottom 3 at christmas I'll still be cool as a cucumber Nice to see sad little doom mongers like yourself piping up so early. Your life must be so fulfilling.
Fulham look terrible too. It'll be a tight one, for me it depends if we've got our heads above water in January after our shocking run of home fixtures. If we are ticking along we have alot of winnable home games second half of the season.
Oh Bri, getting straight in there, with the doom mongers bit, let the lad have his say man. You mentioned The scum, west brom fulham and stoke. All finished above us last season, will this be repeated?
He has had his say marra, he's the OP after all, now i've had my say, I'm happy to discuss it further. I've already stated we'll struggle for points first half of the season. Thing is I try to weigh up both sides. Some folk can't seem to do that which is fair play. But as it's a playground of debate, I'm entitled to say I think he's a doom monger. It's not like I haven't tried in the past encourage him to look at both sides. Answer to your question. There is no answer yet. So why the doom and gloom? It's not like I've abused the lad. I backed up my opinion with opinions which we know isn't a matter of fact.
But they do. He's not saying they're going to get relegated. Christ mate, if you had your way today nobody would post anything.
Why the doom and gloom????? Cos he supports Sunderland!!! He's probably lived through too many false dawns!!!
But so have I? So? Saying we could struggle after two games is as bad as saying we could qualify for the champions league. I'm just trying to encourage a bit balance at a time where there's no answers and only questions. What about Aussie blackcat85 comments? or The Vaughan Identity's comments? Why you going on at me? (for Comm too)
Yeah it was a smash and grab opening day job. They've been shocking in all 3 games and needed pens to put out a league 2 side despite fielding a strong team.
Reet now my turn. Whilst i admit the op does come across as a depressed person, he's entitled to his say. Maybe it the term 'doom monger', it does sound kind of limp wristed, basically a '**** off you're full of ****' will do, or words to that effect....see that's why i'm a mods nightmare. In football opinions there is not much give or take, all this, 'aw man give the lad a chance malarky' cut's little. Good enough or not, no time to hang around in this game. They look that ****e, that they managed to sneak 3pts from us.......sometimes ugly is good...
We desperately need 2-3 more players before the window closes especially if Sess goes. A LB & CM is a must. For me it will depend on how we do with injuries if we can stay clear of them we should be fine. I will be very happy if we are not in a relegation fight this season I'm sick of going to the last few games of the season not knowing if we are safe or not.
