"I've always thought the role of kitman was one of the cushier numbers in professional football, with little more to do than wash and iron the kit, and ensure the players' matchday needs are catered for. So when Millwall's kitman forgot to bring their strip for their away encounter at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, there were more than a few red faces in the Lions' camp when they sheepishly had to ask to borrow Wednesday's away strip from last season. Their third strip eventually turned up for the second half of the game at Hillsborough, and, whilst it's probably not the first time that has happened, it summed up was has been a disjointed and disappointing season for the club so far." Just been reading this and what an unprofessional outfit. Who is the pitman, TC or one of the now disappeared cronies maybe. Pity they didnt wait till the Leeds match. Imagine them having to togg out in Leeds gear. Wallies really is the perfect description
Poor Sheffield Wednesday fans, never seen a team that bad play in a Sheffield Wednesday kit. One poor 10 year old, attending his first game was heard telling his Dad.(We better hope we don't get any injuries Dad because the reserves are ****.)
We apparently tried to buy a new Millwall kit from just about every sports shop in Yorkshire, But they had all sold out of Millwall strips and all they could offer us was Leeds strips which apparently were available in all colours and all sizes
