I was crying out for Redmond in particular to stay out on the wsing an actually cross the ball as oppposed to him trying to score from outside the box. At least once when he took a shot which went over the bar, there were 4 white shirts just ahead of him - he will improve with age/experience. IMO, the biggest problem with the game against Hull, was that players seemed unable to pass th eball to another white shirt when they were about 20 yards away and we were giv ing Hull possesion too esaily - you can't put the blame for that on CH!!!

Good, in which case you will have been, to an extent, pleased with one or two improvements compared to last year. So much room for more though.

No, the manager is responsible for structure. Structure can assist movement, but he cannot be responsible for the way a player moves on a pitch, decides to make runs, angles of runs, timing or general effort put in beyond allocating specific zones. It was not Hughton that kept all the players standing still as we tried to force a way through Hull - that was poor performance. That's not to say the Hughton shouldn't shoulder blame for structure (though incidentally the radical starting structure actually worked well until heads went down).

Yep, I agree it is pointless really to have any constructive debate until we are a good ten games in, at least.

Haha, Sturridge will get injured I imagine!

You have taken general disquiet about the style of football the manager employes, then put it with a statement from kick it out, 2 + 2 = 11, you surely have a great career in politics ahead of you! I don't fully believe in our manager on the grounds that the football I have seen so far under his tenure has been negative and poor, and that he has consistently failed to get the best out of individual players and the squad as a whole. yet I still see some hope. So now I want to burn a cross and send him to Suffolk or hell( maybe the same thing).
Yes as a fan I believe I have a say, I don't wish to destabilize the club, it's counter preductive. But if and I emphasize IF! The manager is not cutting the mustard then his very presence is more destabilizing than 1,2 or 22000 decenting voices.
You are right we are in some ways in the best position ever as a club, certaintly financially, but very little of that is down to CH, yes he was manager when we stayed up last year(less points than the proceeding season, money spent and so little entertainment given), but 36 other managers could of kept us up. 18 more comfortabley than CH, 18 less so, May be resulting in relegation? But come on are you completely blind to the fact that maybe CH is not the best maHager? That perhaps others could do better, sorry to beat the drum, but 4 wins in 23 or what ever it now is tests the patients, of all(well seemingly all except the blindly faithful)

    Bah!

In terms of ability, the team out against Hull was far superior IMO, however, as a team they were not at the races on the day.

I guess the other way of posing the question is, who is available right now who you think would do a better job? Personally (although I'm not thinking too hard!), nobody comes to mind.

I love the twats that want poyet, I really do. That's championship FAILURE Gus Poyet who was dismissed from Brighton for a situation so bad it has not been made public but the rumours perhaps speak for themselves... There's also his support of Luis Suarez in biting someone, sounds like a hell of a guy!

Ill stick with a far better and proven manager in Chris Hughton I think.

Is it too much to expect people to actually read a post before rubbishing it? My post was about backing the owners, the board and the CEO, not the manager. Any idiot can spend £25M, but it would take a boardful of real fools to hand £25M over to an idiot to spend. I happen to have a higher opinion of Chris Hughton as a manager than some on this board; quite independently of that, I have a lot of faith in David McNally and the NCFC board. They are the architects of our success over the last five years. They appointed Chris Hughton and have backed him this summer to the tune of £25M. If and when they decide to dispense with his services, fine; until then IMO they should be able to rely on the whole-hearted support of every Canary fan. <ok>

But it's NOT a two horse race, though, Beef - and hopefully when the time comes, still won't be. <ok>

Well said Robbie, part of supporting a club is supporting their decisions, and I can't believe why so many have such a lack of faith. DM and the board have done a wonderful job over the last four years. If CH is a crap manager he would have got the boot last season, DM and co aren't idiots. We live in an instant world though, instant digital pics, instant fast food, instant music downloads, I guess people expect an instantly successful football club as well! Patience is a virtue.

Isn't 'instant fast food' a contradiction?

Totally agree with Robbie's post. <ok>

Presumably suitable candidates will be found, interviewed, short listed and eventually appointed as and when the club feel we need a change of direction / stewardship.
We won't know 'what other horses' until our own jockey is unseated. Which may well be some time <ok>

There's no way dimatteo would come to Norwich and if you want a really boring 4-5-1 check out his champions league winning side.

Norwich fans want at least 4 strikers on the pitch, two of which bein Cody and James Vaughan, players so good try should be playing for Swansea. No width at all either, just a long straight line from our goal to there's.
