ironically, in our attempt to make light hearted jokes on the subject by 'over repping' after we got accused of repping too much, we all ended up practically unable to rep for quite a while

Well I don't often go on there, given that it's always full of in-fighting and I've found the people on there not to my taste.
That and I came over from 606, so I use this site to talk about sport and the more off-topic stuff on Shearer's eBar. If I want to talk about more subjects I'll just go meet my mates in town and chat **** with them over a few drinks .

I do find it ironic though how the likes of you and Sid come across and be civil on here, but then slag us off effectively behind our backs by bitching on General Chat. Then wonder why there's a sudden influx of us responding to the accusations and scathing generalisations made against us.
I'm an advocate of being upfront, sometimes it will get me into trouble in the real world, but rather confront someone and have it out in the open than be sly & whine behind their back. Why not just post your opinions on here? I mean better yet you personally could say it to our faces on July 31st!
In fairness with yourself, you mentioned the rep thing over here mind, but you've still have posted a fair few other digs on there whilst not here.

Think you're overanalyzing a conversation on a web forum here. I made a couple of comments on a thread designed for bitching about Newcastle fans. My comments were about the rep circle-jerk which to be fair is an accurate observation, as well as about the usernames which I find a bit naff. Should I have started a thread over here for the exclusive reason of pointing that out? No, I'd have been abused as a wind-up merchant. Which was partly what I was doing earlier anyway, it was pretty funny watching the rep abuse piling up; I said as much on the rep thread in GC.

Context, time and place, etc. I don't regret saying anything on that thread. It's not sly and it's not important unless you really do value your little internet community.
