SO...Bolton V QPR. A game that really does not inspire much given the past 2 seasons both clubs have had, but for me it held a bonus. I had been invited by our Melbourne brethren to visit their fine city on many occasions...and this time i called there bluff. Now let me say, i went to Melbourne last @ 20 years ago and found a dirty, horrible deprived city lacking in any culture, class or interest. It was like going on holiday to Birmingham This time i found an amazingly transformed city, vibrant ful of energy and very willing to take me on at my own game. ! I turned up and instantly fell in love, remember walking around Regents /Hyde Park in the early spring? This was just the same. I spent a day being a complete âtouristâ and had a great time. If you ever get the chance to visit the place then do. On the day of the game i met up earlier with Melbourne Ian at the bar we intended to visit later that night. We had a few beers and talked about all things including footy. What a top bloke Ian is and was great to meet up and put a face to the name. When i arrived at the bar for the game there were plenty of QPR colours all over the pub and weâd even been given our own section & screen. I met NZhoops, Melbourne Ranger, Melbourne Ian and many others who i was introduced too, but the vast amounts of alcohol have since deleted from my brain. As you well know, the game had nil-nil written all over it, but when we did finally score thanks largely to a great run down the line and cross from Clint Hill ( did i really just write that sentence)we went crazy and jumped all over the place singing the usual Rangers songs. The night turned out to be fantastic & I lost Melbourne Ranger on the poker tables at the Crown Casino about 1ish... hope he didn't lose the money he has put away for his newly born twin girls ( Congrats mate) Had a thoroughly great weekend and met some top top people. The reception I got was fantastic and these guys (& girls) really do represent everything that is great about our club. Thanks guys, we will do it again sometime & I may even manage to coax some of the other Queenslanders out of the sunshine state !!
Good to hear our Aussie brethren are going strong, sounds like a great time was had by all. So, you only sing when you're winning?...
they are all most welcome up here we should all do a session in the pig. good to hear it all went well. maybe i will be able to make the next one down there.
Well done to all involved. It's really great that many of the folk got together. Hopefully, more of us ( self included ) can make it in the near future .................. I've gotta get to Bris-vegas first!

If your up for it soon, I know I can speak on behalf of the 2Q's and we could nip down to Surfers and do like Marvin did, get it on. And the southern/nz lads would rather a weekend in Surfers than here I'm sure
