We'll be facing two teams from last year's Europa league. Celtic in the group of death - 16 titles between them! And Arsenal have a hard one - Benitez & Higuian back to haunt them ?
yep, but remember what happened to United with Basle WOuld have liked one big tie v Celtic PSG or Dortmund.
I would rather have games won and points before declaring how easy any match may be. Schalke have their dangermen Obasi not the least. Would of any of the other teams in the competition when we won it have been worried about us?......I don't think they were.
I would certainly never go so far as to call any group 'easy', I will certainly concede it could have been a lot tougher.
Didn't people say the same thing last year? It's a group we will win but it certainly isn't easy. There are no mugs this time round so we can probably afford more slip ups as it will be a competitive group. Can't see Schalke winning home having the consistency to match our results.
You know I think we have a very realistic chance of winning the CL again this year. Much more than when we actually did. Having said that Jose's record with us in that department hasn't exactly been great.
Fancied a decent away trip in Europe though. Bucharest is good but the rest not so. CL should be about being challenged by the best though so disappointed we haven't really got a 5 star challenge.
You will never get challenged by the best in the Group stage if you are a Top seed though really, UEFA have engineered it that way so that all the bigger clubs go through and all the minnows dont stand a chance. Best we could have hoped for is Dortmund maybe. Napoli and PSG, for all the money they have spent, havent had time to achieve anything yet so I wouldnt really call them the best.
That's a one off though really. How often are loads of **** teams going to get bought by Billionaires and pump 100m worth of players into them? Dortmund, if they qualify past the last 32 this year will become top seeds next season surely.
