I'd take McCormack, I think he's class. I was upset we didn't try get him when he went to Leeds. Gives us a right footed option on the wing when needs must too.

Why the hell would Leeds agree to that.

<doh> We wouldn't just offer Fryatt, we'd be offering money as well!

It's not like we are giving Leeds a useless player either, he has proved he is a good striker in the Championship.

Regardless of whether we offered money or not. McCormack is scoring in the championship now, they know what they will get with him. Fryatt would be a massive risk for them.

But if you offer say £2.5m on top with Fryatt... I can see them taking it.

If we had that sort of money we would be putting it towards Bendtner.

So would SB. Can't see anyone offering that kind of swap, or serious money, for Fryatt.

I will be expecting another rabbit out of a hat, and my socks blowing off again by 11pm Monday.
Bruce will get us a decent striker in, he knows how important it is.

Re judging Graham after only a few games. I guess some are better at rating a player after a short period. After all there were many that had already given up on Nick P after a few games. Took me until the Orient match-now well and truly in their camp. Sorry to say the early doubters were correct. And I still was hoping that Ghilas would come good moons after the two or was it three management teams had consigned him to the scrap heap. And in Grahams case the naysayers have the Sunderland experience to add fuel to their judgement. For all our sakes lets hope they are proven wrong, but, even I with my rose tinted glasses turned up to full rosiness am already hearing the less optimistic's words echo in my ears.

if we inquired to his agent do you think his agent could help turn his head to a PL team coming in for him?

UNFORTUNATELY.. being in the PL, teams don't have the luxury of getting a player to settle............... especially those teams that have just come up.
They more or less have to hit the ground running.

Graham and Sagbo have to be judged over a longer period and in terms of game-play, not knee-jerk reaction.

Bendtner is now a pissing contest; all of the public stuff by SB is aimed at getting Arsenal and the player to throw in their best offers so he can come on what we are prepared to pay, not what we can pay.

Why in the world of sanity would Leeds let McCormick move and welcome Fryatt? As someone said any money we had to support it would be put in the Bendtner deal.

We will have a new striker before the window closes - it's an irrelevance for the ManC game.

I have yet to hear a name tossed out for a striker that would make everyone here happy. Even if we get a striker I doubt very much that most of the people on this board will be pleased with it.

It would be a let down if we sign a striker who isn't in the same socks of catagory as Huddlefro and Livermore.

ffs---all plus SB has said life is different in the PL so lets judge Prozzy on performances there---we are judging him again on one performance against Orient who are top of D1 and it being a physical game just the same as in the championship.
Not saying Prozzy will come good but he hasn't been given a chance

Think it's a bit harsh judging graham and sagbo after 2 league games.
Chelsea= not scoring against them isn't embarrasing afterall man utd couldn't at old Trafford. Graham was upfront all by himself and I think falcao would have struggled with that service.
Norwich= we only had 10 men sagbo had an early bath and graham was on the bench and again didn't get a great deal of service when he came on

Like Bruce said.... we do not have the funds to go out and buy a 20 goal striker.

Its more likely that Bendtner is out of reach unless he agrees to a 1 year deal because we couldn't afford him if we got relegated.

So Bruce is more likely going to bring someone in as backup to Graham and Sagbo.
Can't see a knock your socks off personally (but of course I would love to be proven wrong)
