After seeing us win against Munich last season, I don't see why we can't do well in this group... but we need a beefier squad ASAP. On our day, we can literally beat anyone, we just lack consistency and those key players. I'm glad we have a hard group, I'm tired of us just making up the numbers. This will be a true test. Go hard or go home.
What is the betting that we get through this group and then everyone starts saying that it wasn't a hard group really, and we scraped through, and (if we finish 2nd) that a really good team would have won the group?
It's a tough group, but as mentioned, we might as well go in at the deep end. There's no reason why we can't beat any of the teams in our group, remember for all the cries of how **** we were last season, we beat Bayern Munich away and came very close to winning that tie. Like SJW has mentioned, this draw might actually force Wenger's hand into buying some top quality knowing that we are going to need a quality squad to keep up in both the PL and Champions League.
I actually don't think it is going to make a shred of difference to Wenger. I really hope someone he likes becomes available in the next few days, because he isn't going to make signings just to blow the money. There are going to be howls of protest round here, because I just can't see a player that is going to make Wenger happy and the fans happy.

Fourth. No point wasting the squads energy on a pathetic tournament like the europa league. Would rather be out of europe all together than play in the europey cup.

The dates and fixture plan has been revealed, I think it suits us very nicely: Marseille away Napoli home Dortmund home Dortmund away Marseille home Napoli home That's very good for us I think, having 2 home games on the bounce against Napoli and Dortmund, Napoli on the last day away is tough, but if we do good earlier, it can be a case of job done already.
