Has to be Sinclair in the cup against Barnsley. We nearly got killed walking past the Barnsley buses afterwards waving 3 fingers at them as that was the third time we had beaten them that season, even though they got promoted.
My favourite recent goal is probably Routledge's against Coventry - although that was as much for the sublime pass from Adel. Since I've followed the R's? It's got to be Sinclair's.
Adel demolishing Swansea on boxing day a few years back plus his goals away at cardiff that stopped them dead in their tracks Remy last year hit some crackers but yes SB that was some goal
His second wasn't too bad either...
Surely this is worthy of a mention?
Unsurprisingly for me it has to be John Byrne in that 6-0 classic against Chelsea. He twisted, he turned. Me and my mates were in the away paddock and had a great view. It was the icing on the cake of a perfect game. Take that Doug Rougvie (spelling!)
Mark Lazarus the winner in the 1967 League cup final, i was 12 yrs old and it was the best day of my young life
Clive Allens cheeky little double drag back against west ham I've always liked. Not the greatest but a lovely bit of skill.
Richard Langley scored an incredible goal midweek against Blackpool circa 2000. If anyone could dig it out I'd be very grateful. This one from Nygaard was ridiculous given how **** he was. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DewBNbhZj74
Wasn't David Speedie in goal ? Didn't their keeper get injured and bizarly they put 4f 2 Speedie between the sticks
Cant beat Francis vs Liverpool, great shout. Up there though: Furlong vs Oldham play off semi final 2nd leg ............. the stadium was rocking. SWP winner v Chelsea away last season, not the greatest goal seen, but one of the greatest times my 2 lads have experienced and the passion I saw in their young eyes. #prouddad
Yeah, I was directly behind him in the Paddock, as soon as it left his foot you could see it going in.
No, it was Eddie Niedzwiecki in goal. He did get cramp shortly before though. Robinson gave his leg a rub and then helped him to his feet. Robinson then ran back to the half way line, received the ball and cracked it into the Chelsea net. Macca also scored, great night.
always loved the 3rd goal against wolves at molineux in 1973, the whole game was a blinder and hinted as to what was to come. the original 4 year plan?
