So Middlesbrough fans are still listening to their "ITK" guys and still in the firm belief that they're 100% going to sign McCormack. Haven't learnt anything from the last few days. It's amazing the lengths they'll go to to convince themselves of something that would mean them "doing one over" us, such a tinpot club
At the LUST meeting tonight, a BBC Leeds journalist said he'd talked to Mowbray last night & the deal is effectively dead. The Chairman spoke passionately about Rossco & his commintment to Leeds, certainly giving me the impression he had spoken to him personally, or indeed someone genuinely in the know, and the answer is that he's going nowhere. I'm quite reassured now & quite chuffed. EDIT: Just remembered his name! Journalist was Adam Pope.
Anyone remember how bad this forum used to be when every thread got turned into Grayson bashing by Clive? He does the same on JA606 now, except he's added McDermott to his repertoire. Still convinced that Warnock is a good manager that would have done better given the time and money.
It's laughable to claim 8000 members. Most people who joined were making an anti bates statement and never thought of themselves as members. Although Gary cooper is absolutely a member.
Yep ... LUST was an anti-Bates petition, 99% of those originally signed up probably don't care two hoots about LUST as a "membership".
Doc ... 'Arry signing loads of players shouldn't be a surprise, his transfer dealings are in double figures every season ... he is the bung king after all.
Grayson signed Brown and Brown had a extension clause in his contract he could of activated as he'd played enough games...
LUST was probably essential in getting rid of Bates. Without them and their marches and protests (as well as the signs, ballons ect) Bates would of still been writing the Anti-Bates sentiment off as the 'few dissidents'. LUST organised a respectable opposition to Bate's management of the club, how can that annoy you i don't know...
It annoys me because you believe that bollocks you just posted. It annoys me more because others might believe it. Lust forcing bates out is as credible as global warming being a man made problem. Let me guess.......
They don't speak for ten percent of the people they claim to represent. You want them to have credibility then get them to ditch fatty.
**** me the Daily Mail outrage bus is here...next stop pregnant single teens. Now you really think the mean ol' nasty Leeds fans singing naughty things forced Bates out because it certainly hasn't worked for Newcastle fans or Man U fans or Coventry fans...or do you think an organised opposition of marches, protests, banners, signs, online petitions, contact with the players, contact with potential owners and a big slice of Leeds matchday fanbase in it's membership forced Bates to leave. I'm not saying it was soley down to LUST however if it wasn't by a heck of a lot of lobbying and organising by LUST we'd have remained pissed off fans singing nasty things about Bates. LUST made contact with potential owners, disillusioned players ect and combined that with unifying a disillusioned fanbase to help force Bates hand.
And well if they don't speak for the ten percent then the ten percent will leave. What's your problem with Gary Cooper exactly? Did he shag your missus or something? Every time I've heard him speak he's not said anything controversial (perhaps slightly too uncontroversial, bit of a yes man) and made decent arguments against Bates. Don't worry Glory...your missus will be back with some blue pills soon
Totally agree with you Glory and I go further. They don't represent Leeds Fans they represent themselves. Cooper is just in to inflate he's own ego. The man is only in it for Cooper.
