I would take Ba back in a minute. Was top class - 29 goals in 54 games (of which included a 16 game barren spell).

The man is a goal scorer, and despite the claims he is not a team player for wanting to play as a striker, he brought people into the game and ran his socks off.

Would prefer to spend the money we are using for Gomis to bring Demba back!!

Loan fee is reported 3 mio, which is quite hefty.

But let's face it, Demba could save our season. If MA has any sense he'll do this.

I Think Ashley will try and bluff his way through to the January transfer window

I agree,£83,000 a week roughly which would cause unrest in the camp so they would have to massage the figures with Chelsea or is that illegal? With Cabaye going (another saving plus cash) it would be small change!

The figures can be massaged any way you like. If paying a £3 m fee and taking over his full wages of £83,333 would cause unrest, you could always pay a higher loan fee and say that you'll only be paying a portion of his wages

I can't see why we don't just sign him permanently but then I'm not paying the bills.

We didn't hold onto him in January because of his wage demands to sign a new contract. I expect we'd run into the same difficulty if we tried to simply buy him off Chelsea.

Well, Eto'o signed today. I am assuming Chelsea will not be keeping Eto'o, Torres, Ba and Lukaku when they only play one forward. They've signed Schurrle too, who's more attack than anything. No, there's surely got to be at least one departure from the bridge. Ba looks the weakest link.

But which of them is going to want to take a massive pay cut for the honour of working with Joe "I invented the nuclear reactor" Kinnear ?

Ba to West Ham or Swansea maybe? Both need a striker.

Of course we're interested in signing him - but we won't!
We won't match Chelski's valuation of £10M for him.
We won't match their £3M loan valuation for him.

Even if we did, we wouldn't match his wage expectations!

Another non-starter story! Why do we persist in believing or even talking about the ****e punted out by the media?

We should be going all out to get Lukaku on loan. He would be an amazing signing for the season. It will never happen sadly

Lukaku on loan would be a great signing. But Murihno has a brain. He sees we have talent in our side, but they're suffering due to our **** tactics and the fact the players just are gelling due to poor management.

Even if Lukaku tried his best and performed, I don't think coming to us would be a good career move for him. He's too good for us.

Mourinho will make sure if he loans him out that it is somewhere that looks after him. West Brom were a good fit, organised and play football properly. We will just end up pumping the ball up to him.

Indeed. He would probably rot on the bench with Shola being played ahead of him by our tactical genius of a manager
