Group A: Manchester United, Shakhtar Donetsk, Bayer Leverkusen, Real Sociedad

Group B: Real Madrid, Juventus, Galatasaray, Copenhagen

Group C: Benfica, Paris St-Germain, Olympiakos, Anderlecht

Group D: Bayern Munich, CSKA Moscow, Manchester City, Viktoria Plzen

Group E: Chelsea, Schalke, Basel, Steaua Bucharest

Group F: Arsenal, Marseille, Borussia Dortmund, Napoli

Group G: Porto, Atletico Madrid, Zenit St Petersburg, Austria Vienna

Group H: Barcelona, AC Milan, Ajax, Celtic

utd got a real easy group.

city i think will be very happy. bayern are bayern but they have just to beat moscow at home and draw away and they are through

arsenal are in trouble as of today. they have to see off marseille first and foremost but napoli are the huge wild card and i think arsneal need to go some!

    cheslea have an ok group

celtic will make a lot of money at home games and be dumped out. it really is a WOW group

It's not that we're not in the Champions League, we're just bored of it and having a little break for a while. We'll be back when we feel like it. <ok>

  6. They've certainly got a very tough group but i wouldn't see they are definitely out. I think it will be tight between them and Napoli, not writing Marseille off either. I expect Dortmund to win the group though.

i think they have the hardest run. on thier day they certainly should do for marseille. dortmund are finalists so have to be considered favorites for the group as a result. so arsenal and napoli are fighting for 2nd... in theory... and we all know how rafa loves european away draws ;)

arsenal need to be on top of thier game.

  13. I just think they lack the squad to cope with one competition, never mind the CL too.

Personally I thought last year's one was very boring. It was all about the Europa League last year <ok>

I agree, personally I find a group like that a raffle. Of course on their day they can beat the other two, but over a period of 6 games with teams just as good as themselves it's really hard to predict. Rafa is a master in Europe and Borrusia have to be favorites for the group. Tough call.

Picks for each group In bold.

Think most of the groups are clear cut. Groups E, Chavs should win it, then a toss up between Schalke and Basel. Group G, is the only group with real competition, Porto, Atletico Madrid & Zenit St Petersburg are all going to be fighting for it.

    can't disagree.

the top 2 seeds reach the newst stage in every case bar city and then the arsneal group... arsenal have a chance given how weak it is but if you back dortmund then its all about rafa's napoli

Best thing to happen is Arsenal finish 3rd and qualify for Europa. They'll only get knocked out in the round of 16 again, and like the last two years they'll go on a strong premier league run.
