This time last week we were linked with Eriksen and people were saying 'not sure he's the answer' - 'worries me that no one else wants him' Now spurs look set to sign him and the ****ing toys go out the pram again
Sorry, just can't see us signing anyone else tbh, maybe Illori or Sakho but that's it, can't see us signing anymore attacking players.
This. Southampton.... yes Southampton bought Osvaldo ( Roma, starting Italian internaional), Wanyama ( Celtic, CL experience steel that we need!), and Lovren ( CB, Lyon, CL experience, Croatian I believe first team international). Why can't we buy players like that to come straight into the first team? Pochetino plays a quick passing and pressing style, so sruely these types of players could have come to us? What was the pull Southampton have over us? Same with Gaston Ramirez last year. It is not just Spurs, other teams, lower than us, are spending well on the first team. Build a strong first team each transfer window and your depth takes care of itself.
I know we are moaning but you did the bale money right though. Can't really knock it, just frustrating we had the same with Torres and got Suarez ( good) and then Carroll, Downing, Adam ( bad).
Maybe so but not everyone was. Its been all doom and gloom on here since Tuesday night. The only first team player we have lost is Toure, I'm sure Skrtel will be able to step in and do a job #akasquadgame
For God's sake! What other clubs do has nothing to do with us. None of you know if the deals that Spurs or even Southampton have done are any good or won't come back to bite them in the arse. Stop being so bloody childish.
Because we want good players that will improve the team...? I'd rather we buy no one than buy someone for the sake of spending money! Edit: how did Ramirez work out???
Fine. Our buys. Anytime we have looked to buy a player over 15 mil, we have stumbled. Why? How come we can go to 15 for an Allen but can;t get to 12 for an Eriksen? Doesn't really make sense to me. I await your financial knowledge and big business maneuvers dave.
Mate you are one of the first ones who talk about building a strong first team in the transfer market builds a strong squad depth? That changed now? EDIT: All those players mentioned would walk into our first team, thus building a strong squad.
Here is a possibility. Maybe Spurs dont rap up their deals any quicker than us. They might just be better at keeping secrets.
15.33 BST: The Daily Star reports that Liverpool have made a £19.7million bid for Dynamo Kiev attacker Andriy Yarmolenko. news on us...
Its not changed at all. We should aim to improve the first eleven and the squad will take care of itself. The players you've mentioned wouldn't improve our first team. PS...the negativity around these boards since Tuesday is starting to annoy me
